Top Midfielders in Premier League – Week 10

It was a good week for top teams in Premier League as all top-six sides excluding Tottenham registered wins during the weekend.

In arguably the most important result of the weekend, Manchester United defeated Tottenham 1-0 at Old Trafford to cement their position on the second spot. Manchester City still enjoy a five-point lead at the top of the table following a 3-2 win over West Bromwich.

Midfielders stole the show for City on the day as they were responsible for all three of their goals in the away win.
There were some more match-defining midfield performances during the latest round of games, and a total of seven midfielders topped the EuroFantasyLeague table with six points each.

For City, Leroy Sane and Fernandinho both begged six points on the account of their respective goals against the Baggies.
Sane has been one of the standout performers in EuroFantasyLeague this season, and currently, tops the table with 44 points. At 2.5m, the Germany international is a must-have for everyone. He has scored six goals and has provided five assists in ten appearances – with six starts.

Fernandinho scored a goal and provided an assist for a total of six points against the Baggies. The 7.5m-midfielder has two league goals this season and a total of 19 points.

Roberto Firmino of Liverpool also claimed six points in the 3-0 win over Huddersfield. The Brazilian, who is quite costly at 9.5m in the market, has three goals and two assists in his ten appearances. Firmino has collected a total of 24 points this season.

Firmino’s teammate Georginio Wijnaldum also begged six points against the Terriers. The Dutch midfielder scored in the game to double his season-tally to 12 points. He is available for 7m, and his goal on Saturday was his first of the season.

Jeff Hendrick was the match-winner for his side as his goal guided Burnley to a 1-0 win over Newcastle United. The midfielder, who costs 7m in the market, has collected 14 points. He has scored two goals in his seven starts for the Clarets.

Eden Hazard was on the scoresheet as he led Chelsea to a 1-0 win over Bournemouth. The Belgian has one goal and one assist from seven appearances – including only four starts. The 12m-man has collected only 12 points so far, this season, but you can expect better returns from him in the coming weeks.

Darren Fletcher of West Brom also found him on the scoresheet during the weekend. The veteran midfielder scored a sweet volley in his side’s 1-0 win at Watford. The former Manchester United star is available for 4m and has eight points from ten starts this season.
