Neymar’s injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian fractured his fifth metatarsal in the 3-0 league win over Marseille last Sunday. Following his injury, he has undergone a successful surgery and has been discharged from the hospital. Neymar’s recovery is expected to take three months, jeopardising the player’s involvement in the World Cup.
Regardless, Neymar is not likely to play for PSG again this season, which is a huge blow for the Parisian considering they have to play Real Madrid in Champions League on Tuesday.
