Here’s the list of the proposed players to pick ahead of the next Serie A round.
Alex Meret: his return from sports hernia surgery has not gone swimmingly, with several goals conceded, due to the weakness of Spal’s back-line and a pair of blunders, but he had a good showings in the last two games and Sassuolo have scored only five times so far in home games.
Kwadwo Asamoah: Alex Sandro is suspended and so it will be the Ghanaian fullback’s turn to attack down the left flank against Udinese. Juventus’ defence has been airtight in the last two months.
Cristiano Biraghi: he has found the back of the net in the last home game, where he benefitted from playing in a more advanced position. That might happen again in the Benevento game, it also helps that the guests have yet to collect a single point on the road so far this season.
Fabrizio Cacciatore: it is derby time in Verona and Chievo have an opportunity to bury the cross-town rival in the standings and get back on track after few disappointing results. The right back could be a decent selection against his former team.
Cengiz Under: he bagged another one, with the help of a big deflection, against Napoli. He is now up to five goals in the last five Serie A games. Torino are not the toughest opponents these days, but he can be chosen no matter the match-up.
Gaston Ramirez: he should be good to go after an ankle sprain. Crotone are in a funk and, while he is not the most consistent player, he can dole out assists and classy plays when he is on his day.
Giacomo Bonaventura: he is extremely at ease in Gennaro Gattuso’s schemes, which allow him to sneak in the box and finish. He put his name in the scoresheet twice last month and Genoa at times stumble at home.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: he scored a brace in the last road game against Sassuolo and he will again be in the thick of it in the Cagliari bout. The Sardinians have had troubles containing top attacks in the past.
Mirco Antenucci: Spal is coming off two crucial wins and will try to down another rival in the derby with Sassuolo. He is doing a great job spearheading the Estensi’s front-line.
Giovanni Simeone: he has been criticized for his lack of scoring lately, but the effort is always there. He will not have a better chance to get out of his slump than the one coming this Sunday, as the Viola will take on Benevento and their League-worst defence.
Paulo Dybala: after the jaw-dropping sucker punch goal against Lazio, he finished with aplomb in the Champions League game with Tottenham after beating the offside trap. La Joya is back in full force after an injury. Massimiliano Allegri might manage his minutes, anyway either him or Gonzalo Higuain are excellent picks this week.
