Premier League Fantasy Weekend Picks: Matchday 26

Because of the winter break in the Premier League games are being staggered but there are more this weekend then last and we get six games. Let’s take a look below at our player fantasy picks based on form and the fixtures to see if your players will be earning points this weekend.

Formation: 4-4-2

Goalkeeper: Bernd Leno- Arsenal

This has not been a great season for Bernd Leno keeping just 5 clean sheets so far. But Mikel Arteta has finally had time to spend with the club and there seems to be a plan to do better. Plus Arsenal will be at home to Newcastle and start as the favourites.

Defender: Toby Alderweireld- Tottenham

Tottenham rode their luck in beating Manchester City this month but nobody is talking of how good the defenders were. The club play Aston Villa who are in trouble and perhaps they have the quality to win this game and keep a clean sheet. Alderweireld has 4 clean sheets so far.

Defender: Davinson Sanchez- Tottenham

Sticking with Tottenham Davinson Sanchez was impressive against champions Manchester City in keeping a clean sheet, so why not repeat that against lowly Aston Villa? Plus Tottenham have been able to keep 2 clean sheets from their last 3 matches.

Defender: Ryan Bertrand- Southampton

Southampton will be the favourites to beat Burnley at the weekend and they are at home. He has helped keep 3 clean sheets so far that includes two in the last five games.

Defender: Willy Boly- Wolves

Willy Boly has been involved in 4 clean sheets this season. Wolves take on Leicester which will be a difficult game but at the same time they are at home. Boly would cost 6.5m and has earned 18 points so far.

Midfielder: Granit Xhaka- Arsenal

Is this the game for Arsenal playing at home to Newcastle that changes their season around, or will it be more of the same and end in a draw or defeat? Granit Xhaka has found himself back in the team and he has kept 5 clean sheets, the one worry is that he hasn’t scored yet, but that could be set to change at the weekend.

Midfielder: Tanguy Ndombele- Tottenham

Jose Mourinho has called on Ndombele to bring out a performance and the talented midfielder may just be able to do that when the club take on relegation threatened Aston Villa at the weekend, he is certainly worth a pick and can win games.

Midfielder: Steven Bergwijn- Tottenham

Steven Bergwijn had a dream debut for Tottenham in his last game scoring a fantastic goal against Manchester City. Now Tottenham will play Aston Villa and the Dutchman is sure to have a few opportunities on goal and trying to provide some. He would cost 8.5m.

Midfielder: Jordan Henderson- Liverpool

Henderson is being tipped to receive the Premier League player of the season and for good reason. He has 41 points and would only cost 7m which seems like a bargain, he is involved in everything going forward and has scored 3 goals and assisted in a further 4.

Striker: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang- Arsenal

Arsenal’s star striker, without Aubameyang Arsenal aren’t going to win games. The Gunners have a tough match at the weekend but they are at home and they need to beat Newcastle. One would think they would need at least 2 goals and it would be a real surprise not to see this man on the score sheet, and he has 14 goals this season.

Striker: Raul Jimenez- Wolves

Raul Jimenez just remains a dangerous striker and he could be the difference when Wolves take on Leicester. His cost is only 5.5m and that is great when you think he has 54 points so far and has scored 11 goals, he is well worth inclusion if you don’t already have him.

Premier League: Fantasy Picks for the Weekend

The first ever winter break is taking place in the Premier League in England and it has been something managers have been calling for for some time. However that doesn’t mean that the league is taking a total break. Instead what will happen is that some teams will have 2 weeks off and then the ones playing this weekend will then have two weeks off- that is the plan anyway.

In total there are 4 Premier League games taking place this weekend, are your players playing? If so you could be in luck for some extra points, or you might want to be very shrewd and take a look at who we are picking this weekend to earn maximum fantasy league points.

Goalkeeper: Simon Moore- Sheffield United

Sheffield United have been brilliant this season and are in 6th place. This is a risky choice to pick Simon Moore here because he has been injured for the season, but he has recovered now so the manager needs to make a choice. At one point surely Moore will get his chance and the Blades are playing Bournemouth at home and will be the favourites to win.

Defender: Yerry Mina- Everton

Yerry Mina is playing his best football since arriving with Everton. Not only is he helping his side in defence he is also scoring goals, and got 2 last weekend. He has helped keep 6 clean sheets so far and Everton will be at home to Crystal Palace.

Defender: Kyle Walker- Manchester City

Manchester City will play West Ham at home and everyone is thinking they can win and score a lot of goals too. But they also have a good chance to keep a clean sheet against an under confident West Ham side. Walker has kept 6 clean sheets so far this season.

Defender: Lucas Digne- Everton

Lucas Digne has 20 points so far this season and he is Everton’s best defender. He has kept 6 clean sheets and even though he hasn’t scored a goal, that is not his job and yet he has assisted for 5 goals this season. A versatile player that would only cost you 5.5m and Everton play at home to Crystal Palace so there is every chance he could keep a clean sheet.

Defender: Adam Masina- Watford

Watford do not have an easy game away to Brighton, but the club have shown so much promise that they could be a threat here. Despite losing to Everton last weekend and being 2 goals to the good, Adam Masina did score and one would hope his confidence will be good for this game.

Midfielder: Theo Walcott- Everton

We have liked the look at Walcott’s form for some weeks and he came on through last weekend scoring the last minute winner against Watford. Everton being back at home against Crystal Palace should present the home side with a few opportunities and Walcott has notched up 13 points so far.

Midfielder: Bernardo Silva- Manchester City

When Manchester City lose games they usually bounce back and get a big score and they will be at home to West Ham, a club who currently look in crisis. There is potential here for Silva and City to do very well. And we have tried to pick out a good value player for the club who would cost you 8.5m and he has acquired 39 points this season.

Midfielder: Pascal Groß- Brighton

Pascal Groß scored a goal last weekend against West Ham as Brighton stunned the Hammers coming back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3. He has been involved in six of his clubs goals this season and Brighton will need this win at home as they could get sucked into the relegation battle.

Midfielder: John Lundstram- Sheffield United

John Lundtstram is a reliable midfielder who has 30 points this season and should be brought into many teams when you think his cost is just 2.5m. He has scored 3 goals and also assisted in another two and looks a real find for the club.

Striker: Gabriel Jesus- Manchester City

Gabriel Jesus looks like a bargain at 8m and with City being at home to West Ham we would think there could be a lot of goals for the home side and Jesus has every chance of scoring. He has netted 9 goals so far this season and also assisted in another 4 games.

Striker: Richarlison- Everton

The Brazilian was linked with a surprise move away to Barcelona just last week. But Everton rejected this. What has been important is his manager Carlo Ancelotti who has stated how important Richarlison is to the club, Brazilian’s love to feel wanted and it is very possible that Richarlison will act in a very positive way when his club play Crystal Palace at home. He has scored 8 goals so far and assisted 3 times.

Premier League: Fantasy Weekend Picks: Matchday 25

The Premier League is taking a break after this weekend for it’s winter gap, the first time this has been done and so clubs will be determined as ever to get three points on the board at the weekend, and not be left having to wait a few weeks until the next game.

Below we take a look at the players who could shine this weekend.

Formation:4-4-2

Goalkeeper: Ben Foster- Watford

Ben Foster’s Watford have only conceded 3 goals in their last five games and even though form has dipped slightly they will fancy their chances to keep a clean sheet at home v Everton, and of course Watford need the points more. He has kept 8 clean sheets this season and is only 3m to bring in.

Defender: Aaron Cresswell- West Ham

Whilst it’s true that West Ham’s form has not been good, they have some really tough fixtures after this game and will be expected to lose. That is why the home match v Brighton a team they should be beating is like a cup final. Can they keep a clean sheet? Cresswell has on 4 other occasions and would cost 7m.

Defender: Jairo Reidelwald- Crystal Palace

For a club that would be 15th in the league based on home form only Palace have only conceded 12 goals at home this season which seems pretty decent. They will play Sheffield United at home and Reidelwald will be eyeing a clean sheet.

Defender: Gary Cahill Crystal Palace

In keeping with Palace trying to keep a clean sheet this weekend, we will also pick Gary Cahill. He is valued at 7m and has been involved in 3 clean sheets and of course comes with vast experience.

Defender: Trent Alexander-Arnold- Liverpool

It might feel obvious to have a Liverpool player in here but if you don’t have Alexander-Arnold he is worth getting. He is just valued at 7m, that is sure to go up next season and Liverpool don’t lose games and hardly concede goals. He has been in a defence which has kept 9 clean sheets so far and he has earned 68 points. Liverpool are at home to Southampton.

Midfielder: Jordan Henderson- Liverpool

Henderson is arguably playing the best of his entire career with his consistency and he is only valued at 7m which seems like a bargain. Liverpool look unbeatable and they will fancy their chances at home to Southampton to get all three points. Maybe Henderson will be able to add to his 2 goals this season also.

Midfielder: Theo Walcott-Everton

Everton should garner quite a few attacks on goal when they play Watford and they will be hoping for all three points. Whilst Walcott has been inconsistent this season he is the type of player that can pull out a great game every so often. Maybe this one will be it. Walcott is 7m but he is yet to score in the league this season.

Midfielder: Matt Ritchie- Newcastle

Matt Ritchie has missed a chunk of the season but is back for the club now and could make a real impact. Newcastle are at home to Norwich and will really fancy getting a win here and Ritchie is a risk but perhaps worth adding to your team this weekend. He would cost 7.5m.

Midfielder: Jeff Hendrick- Burnley

Jeff Hendrick was superb last weekend when Burnley beat Manchester United 2-0 away. The club will be at home against Arsenal, that’s a tough game but at the same time Arsenal do not travel well.

Striker: Joelinton- Newcastle

Whilst it’s true that Joelinton has not scored enough goals this season he could well have a good weekend as Newcastle take on the bottom club Norwich at home.

Striker: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang- Arsenal

Aubameyang has been the one outstanding player for Arsenal in a troubled season. He missed the last 3 games after being sent off and one would expect he would be raring to go to get the goals again. Arsenal play Burnley.and he is 9m.
