Do you want Ronaldo, Aguero and Buffon on your team? Here’s how to play EFL.

Hi everyone! Here’s a summary of how to play our EFL fantasy football/soccer games. If you want more information, you can find a detailed description in the How to Play and Help sections of the site.

So the first thing you should do is to decide what game you want to play. To do so, click the Game Room button on the right side of the home page.  This will take you to the following page:

In the Game Room, you can see the games that are available. Simply move your mouse over a game and you will see a description of that game. The table shows you when a game will start and end. You can join Open Entry games whenever you want. The Free Games tab lists all the free games you can play. No Prizes are offered for Free games.

The Prize Games tab lists the games that require you to pay to play but offer the winner a prize. You have to be over 18 years old (or whatever the minimum age is where you reside) to play prize games. Finally, the Challenge tab lists the games that allow you to challenge other members. Some of these games are free while others are prize games. To play a game, simply click the PLAY button for that game.

Once you’ve selected the game you want to play, you will be asked to register as a member if you are not already one. You will then fill your squad and create your team. You do that by clicking on the position of the player you want to add on the field. You then scroll down to the table below and click the player you want to add that plays that position. Remember, you’re the manager and have to work with a budget of 100 million. So you really can’t choose all the best players but you can try to choose the ones that will give you the best value. Once you’ve selected your players, you name and confirm your team.

Now you have a team. What do you do next? Well, the trick is to understand that your team collects points when your players do. So the more matches your players play, the higher the probability that they earn your team points. You should drop and add players based on when their next match is. You can see the next match to be played for your players on your Team Page and for all the players in the Player Stats table.

Let’s suppose only half your players are playing on Saturday and the other half on Sunday. If you want your team to earn more points, you should drop the players that are playing on Sunday and add players that are playing on Saturday. Once all the Saturday matches are over, you can drop those players and pick up players that are playing on Sunday. As an example, let’s suppose that Cristiano Ronaldo and Gianluigi Buffon are on my team. Buffon plays on Saturday and Ronaldo on Sunday. On Friday, I drop Cristiano and pick up a striker that plays on Saturday, say Sergio Aguero. On Saturday, after the matches are over, I drop Aguero and Buffon and pick up Ronaldo and a goalkeeper, who plays on Sunday, to replace Buffon, say Kevin Trapp. To perform these “Transfers”, you should either click the Transfer header or the “-” sign above any player on your team or the Buy Transfers button on your Team Page. Don’t forget that the total value of your team cannot go above 100 million.

Another thing to remember: make sure that the players you want to start are not on your bench. You can place a bench player in your starting squad by clicking on the player and moving him above the player you want to replace. Remember to keep your mouse button down while doing the maneuver.

And before I forget: you can play as many games as you want. You can use the same team for all the games or create a new one for every game. It’s up to you.
