Calcio Predictions – Round Ten

Spezia-Lazio: the Bianconeri have lost just once in the past six rounds, versus Juventus, collecting four draws and one W over Benevento. The Biancocelesti’s positive streak ended with a tumble against Udinese. The road team is very equipped to exploit Spezia’s daring defensive style, although they will have to avoid looking ahead to Champions League as they did last week: 1-1.

Juventus-Torino: the Bianconeri have somehow drawn five times already, often against easy opponents, but the Granata are one of the least in-form teams in the League, having won just once thus far, with few late collapses. The Old Lady has generally stuttered on the road and have dominated the match-up: 3-1.

Inter-Bologna: the Beneamata is coming off two great wins in a row and have not lost in five rounds, but the Rossoblù are in great shape too having defeated Crotone, Sampdoria and Cagliari in the past four games. However, their defensive woes do not bode well give the Nerazzurri’s newfound efficacy: 3-2.

Verona-Cagliari: the Scagliari nabbed the second win in the last six matches against Atalanta, but they had few draws in there. They have oddly fared better against top teams. The Sardinians are losing steam as they have taken home the full spoils just once in the last four rounds, against Sampdoria, losing to Bologna and Juventus and drawing with Spezia, plus they are battling a COVID outbreak: 2-1.

Parma-Benevento: the Ducali snapped out of their funk after five matches (three ties) with a narrow but convincing win over Genoa. The Sanniti are getting back on track after a losing streak as they upended Fiorentina and stopped Juventus in the two most recent fixtures: 2-2.

Roma-Sassuolo: both teams came into the last matchday eriding lengthy runs, but they got romped by Napoli and Inter respectively, so it will now up to them to prove it was just a blip in a strong start of the season. Neither team is at full strength injury-wise: 0-0.

Udinese-Atalanta: the Friulani have put behind their early struggles by topping Genoa and Lazio and tying with Sassuolo. The Bergamaschi’s problems instead got worse because of a loss to Verona and they have been able to come out on top just once in the past six rounds, but they are generally pretty great on the road: 1-1.

Crotone-Napoli: the first win continues to elude the Squali as they suffered the eight loss of the season at the hands of Bologna last week. They have picked up just two points so, versus the Turin clubs. On the other hand, Napoli rebounded after the Milan debacle by trouncing Roma: 0-3.

Sampdoria-Milan: the Blucerchiati are in a tailspin with two defeats (Cagliari, Bologna) and two ties (Genoa, Torino) in the last four outings, where they squandered the previous winning streak. The Rossoneri keep on marching, found a way to edge Fiorentina too and should manage here as well: 1-2.

Fiorentina-Genoa: a clash between two of the sides that are in worst conditions as the Viola has been bested in three of the last four tilts (by Roma, Benevento and Milan), while the Rossoblù lost four straight (Torino, Roma, Udinese and Parma). Maybe the Gigliati will put the nail in the coffin on Rolando Maran’s tenure: 1-0.
