EPL Weekend Picks – Round 11

Riyad Mahrez

The 11th week of the 2018-19 Premier League season sees Bournemouth take on Manchester United and Liverpool travel to Arsenal. Let’s take a look at some players who you should consider adding to your EPL Fantasy teams before the weekend…

GK – Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)
We’re going to look specifically at high-scoring players who sometimes go under the EPL Fantasy radar in this week’s picks, starting with Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The World Cup winner has 21 points this season — only four goalkeepers have more — and he could easily add to that tally against Wolves on Saturday.

DF – Simon Francis (Bournemouth)
Bournemouth’s defenders weren’t being recommended to many EPL Fantasy managers in 2017-18, but this season is a different story. Simon Francis has 17 points for the high-flying Cherries in 2018-19, so he’s well worth considering.

DF – David Luiz (Chelsea)
David Luiz has been a mainstay in Chelsea’s defence this season, playing 90 minutes in all of their Premier League games. The Blues face low-scoring Crystal Palace next, so now might be a good time to put the Brazilian in your team.

DF – Bruno (Brighton)
Brighton have kept three clean sheets in a row since Bruno returned to the starting XI at the start of October. The Spaniard has picked up 17 points in that time and he looks set to keep his place again for this weekend’s trip to Everton.

DF – Kieran Tripper (Tottenham)
Kieran Tripper didn’t have the best of times against Manchester City on Monday but he is still a reliable scorer of EPL Fantasy points. The Tottenham defender picked up 17 points from three games before that match and he has 25 points for the season so far.

MD – Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth)
Ryan Fraser has been the most surprising EPL Fantasy player this season so far. The midfielder picked up 32 points in the whole of 2017-18 and he already has 29 points this season. With three goals and five assists to his name, expect him to keep scoring points for Bournemouth.

MD – Willian (Chelsea)
With two goals and two assists this season, Willian isn’t the most prolific EPL Fantasy player but he still chips in with points every so often. He’s earned nine points in his last three matches, making him one of Chelsea’s highest scorers.

MD – Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City)
Riyad Mahrez has settled quickly at Manchester City, picking up 28 points in his five starts and five substitute appearances this season. Only 3 percent of EPL Fantasy managers have him in their teams but that number will surely rise if he continues to pick up points.

MD – Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton)
A regular EPL Fantasy scorer over the years, Gylfi Sigurdsson has earned 18 points in his last six games to become Everton’s top points scorer so far this season. Marco Silva’s men face Brighton on Saturday.

ST – Marko Arnautovic (West Ham)
Marko Arnautovic missed the Leicester match last week due to illness but he should be back leading the line for West Ham against Burnley. He has 16 points this season — 10 more than any other Hammers player.

ST – Anthony Martial (Manchester United)
Anthony Martial is the main Manchester United player who you should be considering for your team. The Frenchman has scored four goals in three games, picking up 16 points in the process, and he looks set to have a prolonged spell in the United starting XI.
