Luciano Spalletti spoke to the media ahead of Inter’s crucial Serie A match against Chievo tomorrow night. Here is what the 60-year-old said to the journalists who gathered at the Suning Training Centre earlier this afternoon:

“It’s hard to find a place where there is more pressure than Inter, at a club as big as Inter. There’s always maximum pressure here and a greater target to be reached. We need to go out and try to win all our remaining matches. Tomorrow’s game will be difficult, we need to be better than our opponents to win. All the qualities that we possess in our repertoire will be required.

“For us and for the players, there’s only one aim: to bring Champions League football back to Inter once again this year. Both the players and I are only thinking about Inter and therefore achieving the objective of reaching the Champions League, just like last year. This is a very important objective. From a tactical point of view, the team are ready to face any opposition, as has been shown throughout the season.

“There are a lot of sides who have caused problems for and deservedly taken points off those teams who were at the top last year. This has made everything more even, and that is why it is crucial to secure a top four finish.

“It’s the current Inter side that everyone is taking an interest in. Tomorrow, there will be 60,000 fans at the stadium for this reason, to provide us with their support so that we can win this game. We’re focused on today’s training session and tomorrow’s match.”
