Blaise Matuidi was interviewed by Tuttosport and gave his vote of confidence to Massimiliano Allegri: “He has done a great job here and I hope he will stay. He has shown tremendous abilities and he is an excellent coach.”

On the Atalanta game: “We want to have a good performance at home in order to finish well and celebrate the title in front of our fans.”

On his future: “I am fine at Juventus, I do not have any issues. I will 100 percent stay here, then Mino Raiola will think about the contract extension. He knows about that stuff more than anybody else.”

On Paul Pogba: “All great players are welcomed here. I wish him the best and I hope he will make the right decision. He is the only one that fully knows his situation and how strong he really is.”

Speaking of Matuidi, the sports judge, after additional investigations, has cleared Cagliari and their supporters of any wrongdoing in the recent match at the Sardinia Arena, where he and especially Moise Kean were the recipients of some racist slurs. The judge stated that: “The chants, while surely censorable, had an objectively limited relevance during the game also due to their effective perception.”

The Juventus brass attended a soiree for charity organized by the Mottarone and Malpensa clubs yesterday, but they were tight-lipped about the meeting with Massimiliano Allegri, which will go down later today and will decide the future of the coach. Fabio Paratici simply stated: “We hope that the results will continue to prove that we are right. You can reach your goals if you are competent. There is a complex work behind it that goes on for the entirety of the season and not just for the three months when the transfer market is open.”

Bianconeri legend Claudio Marchisio talked to Tuttosport as well and, after revealing that he, Giorgio Chiellini and Gianluigi Buffon tried to recruit Daniele De Rossi while they were together in the national team, he disclosed his conversations with Paulo Dybala: “I often chat with him, we are close friend and he is aware of his negative moment, this kind of year can happen in the career of a champion. He wants to bounce back and I hope they find a way to make him coexist with Cristiano Ronaldo because he is an amazing talent. I think that Mauro Icardi would be a perfect fit next to him, also from the age standpoint, since the Inter player, while being a fantastic striker, needs to squad to cater to him.”
