Premier League match previews for this weekend

Round eight of the English Premier League season takes place this weekend.

Liverpool and Leicester is probably the game of the weekend while Manchester City will look to win well at home to Wolves.

Manchester United travel to St James’s Park to play Steve Bruce’s struggling Newcastle side.

It does look like we may see plenty of goals this weekend, however. So get ready for an exciting few days of Premier League football!

Here’s a look at all the upcoming fixtures this weekend.

Brighton v Spurs

Key men: Mooy (Brighton); Kane (Spurs)

Prediction: Brighton 1 – 1 Spurs

Spurs were destroyed by Bayern Munich on Tuesday night in front of their own fans. All is not rosy in Mauricio Pochettino’s garden at the moment.

Watford v Sheffield United

Key men: Capoue (Watford); McBurnie (Sheffield United)

Prediction: Watford 1 – 1 Sheffield United

Watford is the only team without a win this season in the league. I don’t think they’ll get three points this weekend either.

Liverpool v Leicester City

Key men: Firmino (Liverpool); Vardy (Leicester City)

Prediction: Liverpool 2 – 1 Leicester City

The Reds to shade what should be an intriguing encounter at Anfield.

Norwich City v Aston Villa

Key men: Pukki (Norwich City); McGinn (Aston Villa)

Prediction: Norwich City 2 – 2 Aston Villa

A score draw is likely in this game between the two newly-promoted sides.

Burnley v Everton

Key men: Barnes (Burnley); Sigurdsson (Everton)

Prediction: Burnley 2 – 1 Everton

Home win for Sean Dyche’s side.

West Ham United v Crystal Palace

Key men: Anderson (West Ham United); Zaha (Crystal Palace)

Prediction: West Ham United 2 – 0 Crystal Palace

Home win for West Ham against a Palace side without Luka Milivojevic who is suspended.

Southampton v Chelsea

Key men: Ings (Southampton); Mount (Chelsea)

Prediction: Southampton 1 – 3 Chelsea

Win for Frank Lampard’s young side that seems to be kicking into gear a little.

Arsenal v Bournemouth

Key men: Aubameyang (Arsenal); Harry Wilson (Bournemouth)

Prediction: Arsenal 2 – 2 Bournemouth

There will be goals. Bournemouth could get at least a point at Arsenal.

Manchester City v Wolves

Key men: Aguero (Manchester City), Neves (Wolves)

Prediction: Manchester City 4 – 0 Wolves

Should be a comfortable home win for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Newcastle v Manchester United

Key men: Almiron (Newcastle United); McTominay (Manchester United)

Prediction: Newcastle United 1 – 1 Manchester United

This has the makings of a really poor game! I think it will be a draw.
