Premier League predictions – Arsenal to bounce back but United’s troubles to continue

It’s time for a look at this weekend’s action in English football’s top flight.

Check out all of our match previews below.

Newcastle United Vs Manchester City

Key men: Allan Saint-Maximin (Newcastle United); Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

Prediction: Newcastle United 1 – 3 Manchester City

Manchester City will be disappointed with their Champions League showing during the week. However, Saturday’s game in the north-east gives them the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways. And they more than likely will take all three points.

Spurs Vs Bournemouth

Key men: Heung-Min Son (Spurs); Harry Wilson (Bournemouth)

Prediction: Spurs 3 – 1 Bournemouth

Spurs should make it three wins from three since Jose Mourinho’s arrival at the club. This game is sure to have plenty of goals too.

Burnley Vs Crystal Palace

Key men: Ashley Barnes (Burnley); Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)

Prediction: Burnley 1 – 1 Crystal Palace

Palace are on a bad run of form while Burnley have won their last two games. Roy Hodgson’s side has a good record against Sean Dyche’s Burnley, though. I expect a draw in this one.

Chelsea Vs West Ham United

Key men: Christian Pulisic (Chelsea); Felipe Anderson (West Ham United)

Prediction: Chelsea 3 – 1 West Ham United

This all-London clash should see Frank Lampard’s Chelsea taking all three points. Manual Pellegrini’s job is under serious threat at West Ham. Since beating Manchester United in September, The Irons have now gone seven games without a win in all competitions, losing five of those matches.

Liverpool Vs Brighton

Key men: Sadio Mane (Liverpool); Neal Maupay (Brighton)

Prediction: Liverpool 2 – 0 Brighton

With the news that Fabinho will probably be out until the new year, Jurgen Klopp knows he needs to find a solution to that problem fast. The news comes just before a hectic December schedule for The Reds. They need to keep the momentum going with a win over Brighton and they probably will.

Southampton Vs Watford

Key men: Danny Ings (Southampton); Troy Deeney (Watford)

Prediction: Southampton 1 – 1 Watford

The bottom two meet at St Mary’s. The Saints haven’t won a Premier League game since mid-September. Watford managed only their first league win of the campaign at Norwich City earlier this month. There clearly isn’t much to separate the two sides in terms of quality. A draw is likely.

Wolves Vs Sheffield United

Key men: Adama Traore (Wolves); Lys Mousset (Sheffield United)

Prediction: Wolves 1 – 1 Sheffield United

Two sides who will be very happy with how things are going this season. This game could be tight, simply because both sides have become very, very tough to beat.

Norwich City Vs Arsenal

Key men: Teemu Pukki (Norwich City); Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal)

Prediction: Norwich City 1 – 2 Arsenal

Arsenal sacked Unai Emery on Friday morning and announced that former midfield star Freddie Ljungberg will take his place on an interim basis. I think The Gunners’ squad will react well to this change and bounce back with a win at Norwich this weekend.

Manchester United Vs Aston Villa

Key men: Marcus Rashford (Manchester United); Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)

Prediction: Manchester United 2 – 2 Aston Villa

This game is another close one to call. I think Dean Smith’s Villa will take at least a point from Old Trafford.

Leicester City Vs Everton

Key men: Jamie Vardy (Leicester City); Richarlison (Everton)

Prediction: Leicester City 2 – 0 Everton

A home win for Leicester City in what could be the final straw leading to Marco Silva’s dismissal from the Everton job.
