Serie A Predictions – Round 20

Lazio-Sampdoria: the Biancocelesti will be stopped at some point and the Blucerchiati are the typical team that can be underestimated and sneak up on the enemies, but the pick logically goes in favour of the home side due to their ten-game winning streak.

Sassuolo-Torino: the Neroverdi are coming off three straight defeats and have prevailed just once in the past eight rounds, the Granata instead did it in the last two fixtures. The guests have an history of laying eggs when they are supposed to win, so the pick is a draw.

Napoli-Fiorentina: the Partenopei lost to Inter and Lazio in the last two matches, while La Viola finally beat somebody, SPAL, after over three months. A clash between reeling clubs: draw.

Milan-Udinese: the Rossoneri picked up quality win in Cagliari and could ride the newfound enthusiasm even though they will be facing a club that has succeeded three times in a row which, for that very reason, might not be particularly vigorous: home win.

Bologna-Verona: the Felsinei’s positive stretch got halted by Torino despite their good showing, while Verona collected seven points in their last three games: draw.

Brescia-Cagliari: three losses in the past four rounds for the Rondinelle, four in a row for the more talented Sardinians. The Biancazzurri have not been good enough at home to pick in their favour, while the Casteddu has not been consistent on the road also before the recent sticky patch: draw.

Lecce-Inter: the Salentini have suffered four straight losses and have failed to win at home all season, the Nerazzurri instead have been superb away. There is clearly a gulf between the two outfits: road win.

Genoa-Roma: the Griffon has been defeated in three of the past four games and did not look that inspiring even in the lone win. The Giallorossi have dropped two in a row against the Turin clubs, but could be poised to return to winning ways against one of the cellar-dwellers.

Juventus-Parma: the Crociati have often been able to surprise the top clubs, but the Bianconeri have prevailed in all but one home game and have started beating up on the minnows: home win.

Atalanta-SPAL: the Bergamaschi did not get the W but still showed well at San Siro against Inter and they have demolished opponents over the last two home games. Other than blindsiding Torino, the Estensi have done nothing in the last six rounds: home win.
