Serie A Game Predictions – Round 28

Juventus-Lecce: the Bianconeri modestly bounced back versus Bologna after the Coppa flops and they have a fantastic record at home. In Serie A, they have won four straights. Lecce held on for an hour against Milan and then got destroyed: they have lost three in a row, giving up 15 goals: 3-0.

Brescia-Genoa: the Rondinelle miraculously salvaged a point in Florence after three consecutives tumbles, the Griffon instead were hapless against Parma, but they have fared better away (two wins and two draws in the last four games): 0-1.

Cagliari-Torino: the Sardinians finally ended their drought with a late goal versus SPAL, but they had looked okay also in the losing effort versus Verona. The Granata have picked up four points in the restart and have played a lot better than before the lockdown: 1-1.

Lazio-Fiorentina: the Biancocelesti will have to pick up the pieces after the painful collapse in Bergamo, which snapped a super long undefeated run. The Viola are not too happy either as they rubbished a golden opportunity versus Brescia. They have equalized in the last three matches. Lazio’s home prowess and hunger should allow them to prevail: 2-1

Milan-Roma: the Rossoneri looked very good against Lecce but have not been particularly effective at home, while the Giallorossi had to claw back versus Sampdoria to get their third W in a row. Slight edge for the road team, but the pick is a 2-2.

Napoli-SPAL: the Partenopei racked up their sixth win in the last seven matches against Verona and should continue marching on against a team that has lost seven times in the past eight fixtures: 2-0.

Sampdoria-Bologna: two narrow losses against top opponents for the Blucerchiati, the Felsinei instead have been dropped in three of the last four. The road team has more talent and has been strong away, but Sampdoria are resilient: 1-1.

Sassuolo-Verona: the Neroverdi got a great result against Inter on Wednesday and they had commenced okay against Atalanta as well before their back-line disintegrated. The Scaligeri re-started off with a convincing win over Cagliari and a tough loss to Napoli: 1-1.

Udinese-Atalanta: the Bianconeri probably did not deserve to be defeated by Torino, but they lost De Paul and Mandragora and so will be heavy underdogs, especially because the Orobici are coming off a terrific comeback versus Lazio to garner their fifth success in a row: 0-3.

Parma-Inter: the Ducali came out of their shell in Genoa, following up the unconvincing display in Turin with a great one. The Beneamata took a step back and lost two points in a crazy one versus Sassuolo, but it is hard to envision them being so lax twice in a row: 0-1.
