Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 35

Atalanta: Pierluigi Gollini was red-carded last week. Rafael Toloi picked up a thigh strain and will miss some time. Joakim Maehle was limited in practice late in the week.

Benevento: Daam Foulon, Gaetano Letizia (muscle fatigue) and Alessandro Tuia (calf pull) have some chances to be back. Gabriele Moncini underwent ankle surgery and will not return this season. Marco Sau (thigh strain) is unlikely as well.

Bologna: Nicola Sansone (muscle fatigue) and Mitchell Dijks (thigh strain) are expected back this week.

Cagliari: Riccardo Sottil and Matteo Tramoni will likely continue to miss time with muscular problems. Gaston Pereiro has COVID.

Crotone: Luca Cigarini (toe bruise) and Arkadius Reca (calf contusion) subbed off in the last game but then trained fully and should be available. Samuel Di Carmine is instead more uncertain.

Fiorentina: Igor is suspended. Frank Ribery bowed out in the last game, but he is dealing with a knock and might not be sidelined. Aleksandar Kokorin has good chances to be called up following a thigh strain, while Borja Valero is questionable.

Genoa: Davide Biraschi is done for the season because of a grade 2 strain in a hip muscle. Domenico Criscito is nursing a calf edema that may linger. Luca Pellegrini is recuperating from a thigh strain.

Inter: Arturo Vidal (knee soreness) and Aleksandar Kolarov (muscle fatigue) are questionable.

Juventus: Federico Chiesa is likely to return after missing time with a thigh pull, while Merih Demiral is iffier with a similar problem.

Lazio: Mohamed Fares is disqualified. Felipe Caicedo (plantar fasciitis), Luiz Felipe (ankle surgery), and Gonzalo Escalante (calf strain) have a shot to be back, but they will be late calls.

Milan: Samu Castillejo is out due to yellow-card accumulation.

Napoli: Kalidou Koulibaly suffered a calf pull and will at most be back for one of the final games. Nikola Maksimovic contracted COVID, while Stanislav Lobotka will be out for at least two weeks because of tonsillectomy. David Ospina (thigh pull) resumed practicing regularly.

Parma: Hernani is suspended. Andrea Conti will be back after muscle fatigue, while Valentin Mihaila (thigh tendinopathy) will be assessed in the lead-up of the game. Gaston Brugman suffered a thigh strain and will miss at least a week. Yann Karamoh (ankle pain), Dennis Man (thigh strain), Simone Iacoponi (knee osteochondrosis), Wylan Cyprien (thigh tendon tear), Joshua Zirkzeen (LCL sprain), and Roberto Inglese (ankle surgery) are out.

Roma: Gianluca Mancini is suspended. Pedro returned from a thigh strain in Europa League, while Chris Smalling picked up a new thigh problem against Manchester United and Bruno Peres bowed out early as well. Amadou Diawara is dealing with groin soreness, Gonzalo Villar, Riccardo Calafiori, and Carles Perez with minor thigh issues that could keep them sidelined. Jordan Veretout and Leonardo Spinazzola (thigh strain) might not return this season. Pau Lopez will be on the mend for three months after shoulder surgery.

Sampdoria: no absentees for Claudio Ranieri.

Sassuolo: Marlon was expelled in the last game. Francesco Caputo (back pain) returned to full practice and will likely be called up.

Spezia: M’Bala Nzola is suspended. Federico Mattiello continues to deal with thigh issues. Diego Farias missed the last game for undisclosed reasons, while Leo Sena was limited in practice late in the week.

Torino: Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is questionable because ok an ankle sprain, Nicola Murru due to a thigh pull.

Udinese: Fernando Llorente is again in doubt because of a back issue. Gerard Deulofeu, Jayden Braaf, Ilja Nestorovski, Ignacio Pussetto, and Mato Jajalo are recovering from major knee problems.

Verona: Adrien Tameze is banned. Miguel Veloso (neck surgery) and Ronaldo Vieira (thigh strain) have an outside shot of coming back.
