Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 36

Atalanta: Rafael Toloi is poised to miss another one with a thigh strain.

Benevento: Pasquale Schiattarella is suspended. Iago Falque is again out with a thigh issue. Daam Foulon is very iffy.

Bologna: no new injuries, but Gary Medel (calf strain) and Federico Santander (ACL tear) are facing an uphill battle to come back this season, while Nicolas Dominguez (knee sprain) and Aaron Hickey (shoulder surgery) are already done.

Cagliari: Riccardo Sottil continues to have trouble shaking off a thigh strain, while Gaston Pereiro is in the COVID protocol.

Crotone: Arkadiusz Reca will miss the next two matches because of a knee sprain. Samuel Di Carmine has resumed practicing and is poised to return.

Fiorentina: Borja Valero is recovering from a toe muscular problem.

Genoa: Luca Pellegrini (thigh strain) and Domenico Criscito (calf edema) will stay shelved, while Kevin Strootman is back after a stomach bug. Lennart Czyborra is a late scratch.

Inter: Arturo Vidal (knee soreness) and Aleksandar Kolarov (thigh problem) will likely stay on the mend like in recent games.

Juventus: no absentees, although there could be some rotation, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lazio: Lucas Leiva and Andrea Pereira are suspended. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic fractured his nose versus Fiorentina and will not be cleared for the Parma game. Felipe Caicedo (plantar fasciitis) and Gonzalo Escalante (calf strain) are close to recovering.

Milan: Zlatan Ibrahimovic sprained his left knee and will sit out at least the next two games. Alexis Saelemaekers is disqualified. Sandro Tonali is out because of a bruised knee.

Napoli: Dries Mertens hurt his ankle in the last game, but he practiced fully Monday and is available. Kalidou Koulibaly (calf pull), Nikola Maksimovic (COVID) and Stanislav Lobotka (tonsillectomy) are out.

Parma: Valentin Mihaila (thigh tendinopathy) and Giuseppe Pezzella (shoulder injury) remain out and Juraj Kucka will be rested midweek. Gervinho is a very late scratch with a thigh problem.

Roma: Stephan El Shaarawy, Gonzalo Villar, and Carles Perez resumed practicing after thigh issues of different severity, and they will be called up, while Amadou Diawara (groin soreness), Riccardo Calafiori (thigh injury), Chris Smalling (thigh muscle fatigue) and Federico Fazio are at risk of having to sit out another one.

Sampdoria: Adrien Silva picked up a knee contusion over the weekend. Morten Thorsby and Omar Colley are also dinged up.

Sassuolo: Jeremie Boga is trying to shake off some muscle fatigue. Francesco Magnanelli is banged up as well.

Spezia: Matteo Ricci is suspended. M’Bala Nzola is out for disciplinary reasons, Julian Chabot for a knock. Leo Sena has recovered.

Torino: Nicolas Nkoulou is banned for yellow-card accumulation and also sprained his right ankle. Armando Izzo is dealing with some fatigue but he is not totally out. Nicola Murru is nursing a thigh pull.

Udinese: Tolgay Arslan has been ruled out with a bruised knee. Bram Nuytinck is also in imperfect conditions.

Veloso: Ronaldo Vieira was called up but left on the stands in the most recent game and he is dealing with an inflamed scar. Miguel Veloso has recovered from a neck procedure.
