Similar to Premier League, only a couple of clubs have found representation in our list of top five defenders from La Liga. No player from the two clubs in the league – Real Madrid and Barcelona has made it to our list. Instead, the list is dominated by the players from Atletico Madrid and Villarreal. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone because both sides are two best defensive sides in the league.
Atletico welcomes bottom-of-table Osasuna at Vicente Calderon this weekend, and their defenders could get easy points for you this game week. Villarreal have an away trip to Alaves.
In other important fixtures, Real Madrid will travel to Sporting Gijon and Barcelona have a home game against Real Sociedad.

1. Filipe Luis – Atletico Madrid
The Brazilian occupies the first spot on our list with 76 points. He is available at a reasonable price of 7.5m in the transfer market and could prove to be a good buy this week. 3. Mario Gaspar – Villarreal
The Villarreal right-back has been a constant presence on our list this season. The 26-year-old has made 30 starts this season and has been a part of 14 clean sheets. He is available at 7.5m in the market and has put together 61 points. He has also provided two assists for the Yellow Submarines.

4. Stefan Savic – Atletico Madrid
The Montenegrin has made his way into our list in the recent weeks. He has 54 points in his account, and he is available for 7m. He has been a part of 13 clean sheets in 26 appearances for his side this season. He has also provided one assist and has picked up one red card.

5. Victor Ruiz – Villarreal
Victor Ruiz has picked up two red cards this season, and he has still managed to make our list in the last spot. In his 28 appearances, he has managed 12 clean sheets. He is the cheapest option in our list at 5m and has collected 53 points. He has scored one goal and provided one assist this season.
