Premier League Weekend Picks – Week 26

Salah

The weekend brings a number of bigger clubs up against sides that concede goals – that is often a recipe for goals, and fantasy football points! Therefore, this week in our chosen fantasy football side, attack is the best form of defence, and we have chosen an attacking 3-4-3.

GK: David de Gea

The Manchester United stopper is a safe pair of hands for your fantasy football team, but moreso this weekend, as they welcome Huddersfield to Old Trafford. Utd are normally well organised, and at home, you’d say the visitors will struggle to get on the scoresheet.

D: Marcos Alonso

Six goals for the Spanish full back is an impressive feat, and playing away to Watford in a London derby, you expect a fast paced, open match. That should give Alonso space up the wing, to give assists and maybe net another.

D: Harry Maguire

Leicester’s Harry Maguire has impressed this season, and would have been a good choice at 4.5m in anyone’s fantasy side. The Foxes host Swansea City, who are hit and (mostly) miss, so a clean sheet is a good possibility.

D: Ahmed Hegazy

The West Brom defender is one of the highest performers in the Euro Fantasy League game this term, and the Baggies are at home to out of sorts Southampton, another game where Hegazy has a great chance of securing points.

M: Jesse Lingard

The Man Utd midfielder has established himself in among the star names in this side, and is a key player behind the 8 game unbeaten run. Huddersfiled at home gives Lingard the chance to add to his 7 goals this term.

M: Raheem Sterling

One of the success stories of Pep Guardiola this year, Sterling is now a danger in every match – his scoring record of 14 so far this year, is far ahead his previous best. Man City are away to Burnley, and if City turn up, their quality will be too much.

M: Mohamed Salah

Liverpool have a tricky game against Tottenham, and while their defenders may be ones to avoid for this clash, they do tend to score, even against the top sides. So Salah features in our picks as a result.

M: Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgian has been arguably City’s best player this year, with his pace and direct manner allowing him to switch the game from one end to the other in a moment. He might not get in the goals, but he could get a number of assists this weekend.

A: Alexis Sanchez

A recipe for goals this weekend. Add one huge stadium of support, one newly promoted side who have not won in the league in 7 games, and then put a high profile new signing on the pitch to make his debut. Sanchez is sure to get a home debut goal.

A: Harry Kane

Tottenham and Liverpool players don’t feature too much in this week’s picks, since they face eachother. But Liverpool’s defence, with or without Van Dijk, is vulnerable, and Kane has a great chance to net his 22nd league goal – in the first week of February.

A: Jamie Vardy

He may not be the player of a couple of years back, but he is playing at home to Swansea, and is still a danger when given space to run into – which Swansea will likely provide.
