Serie A Best Team to Pick – Round 25

immobile3

Here are the suggested players to pick ahead of a pretty interesting Serie A round.

Thomas Strakosha: Lazio need to bounce back after three straight losses and they will have an opportunity to do just that as they take on Hellas Verona, which have lost six times in their last seven fixtures and have scored only in two games in this recent stretch of bad results.

Kalidou Koulibaly: he will captain the Napoli’s backline, which is still tied for best scoring defence in the League, with Juventus’ one, as they will host the reeling Spal.

Kostas Manolas: Roma’s back four let Benevento score two goals, but it remains one of the stingiest in Serie A and on Saturday they will square off against Udinese, which will miss their biggest scoring threat, the striker Kevin Lasagna.

Leandro Castan: he has been a very welcomed addition to the Cagliari’s defence, which was way too vulnerable before the winter transfer market window. The Sardinians will face Chievo on the road on Sunday, a team that is having a lot of trouble finding the back of the net.

Cengiz Under: he is en fuego with three goals in the last two games and looking like Roma’s most dangerous man upfront thanks to his combination of pace, dribbling and shooting skills now that he has adapted and found some confidence. The match-up is not super easy, but he can be trusted anyway.

Dries Mertens: he scored in three games in a row and could deliver once again on Sunday as the Partenopei take on Spal, which have allowed 15 goals in their last six fixtures.

Guilherme: he has been the best contributor among the Benevento newcomers and he has also performed well out of position as a false-nine. The Sanniti have a must-win game coming on against Crotone and their only positive results have come at home so far.

Blerin Dzemaili: Bologna will seek to bust out of their slump in the Emilian derby against Sassuolo, which are not doing much better these days. He will have to lead the way with Rodrigo Palacio suspended and Simone Verdi hurt.

Gonzalo Higuain: he is carrying Juventus on his back lately with seven goals in the last four games in all competitions, so he can be ridden despite the demanding match-up in the Derby della Mole.

Ciro Immobile: Lazio have laid some eggs lately, but they will try to return to winning ways against Hellas Verona on Monday night and they are usually able to feast on the minnows and the Italian centre-forward tends to make his presence felt.

Patrick Cutrone: Milan will challenge Sampdoria on Sunday in a head-to-head clash for the sixth place. The youngster has been deadly in the box in the last two games and he has a chance to secure the starting job.
