Since his arrival in England, Jurgen Klopp has transformed the Liverpool side. The Reds have been responsible for playing some of the best football in the country this season.
However, the German manager has failed to guide his side to a league win over arch-rivals Manchester United. Prior to the visit to Old Trafford this weekend, Liverpool had drawn their last three league games against United. They were also without a league win over their rivals since the 2013-14 season.
Coming into the game, the Reds were in top form while the Reds had struggled to pick up results. There was also added incentive for the visitors as a win would have put them above their rivals in the league table.
However, it turned out to be a frustrating outing for the Reds as they failed to get their game going against a resolute United side. Ashley Young was most impressive in defence for the hosts and kept Mohamed Salah in check. Eric Bailly was also huge in the centre of the defence, but his performance was marred by an own goal.
