Ligue 1 fantasy picks for week 37

Nabil Fekir Lyon

Here are the players we tip to make an impact in this week’s Ligue 1 action!

Anthony Lopes, Lyon – 63 points

Having been at Lyon for 18 years, Lopes is something of a legendary figure at the club nowadays.

The French-born Portuguese keeper will be hoping to add to a haul of 14 clean sheets across the campaign as target what would be a highly impressive second placed finish.

Djibril Sidibe, Monaco – 30 points

With his side facing the challenge of an off form Troyes, he will be looking to deliver a big performance on the weekend as he targets a potential place at the World Cup.

The left back has six clean sheets this season and will be hoping to add to his six assists, too.

Adil Rami, Marseille – 52 points

The Frenchman has been a valuable cog in the Marseille back line this season as they look to finish strong.

With 13 clean sheets over the season, his form will be vital to Marseille getting a result against a hit-and-miss Guingamp.

Hiroki Sakai, Marseille – 49 points

The Japanese full back has also excelled for Marseille this season, playing a pivotal role to the Marseille back line since his arrival from the Bundesliga.

With 13 clean sheets and three assists, Sakai is capable of delivering an attacking threat as well as being defensively sound.

Kamil Glik, Monaco – 55 points

Glik has secured an impressive 12 clean sheets this season for a Monaco side that have not quite lived up to the heights of last season.

The Polish centre back has been a stalwart of the Monaco team since his arrival at the club and will be hopeful of some points against 19th placed Troyes.

Nabil Fekir, Lyon – 90 points

Fekir has been the star of the campaign and will be hoping he can build upon his 17 goals in 2017/18.

Linked with a potential move to Liverpool this summer, the French international has been a significant part of his side’s excellent run of form at present.

Alassane Plea, Nice – 76 points

Nice have suffered in recent weeks, their form seeing them drop down the table to seventh after a brief resurgence.

Plea has been a critical figure for an underperforming side, his 14 goals and four assists going a long way to securing their current league position.

Florian Thauvin, Marseille – 120 points

The Frenchman’s exceptional campaign continues and he will be looking to finish with a flourish.

With Marseille travelling to Guingamp as the Friday fixture, Thauvin  will likely be confident of claiming a few more this weekend.

Marcos Lopes, Monaco – 85 points

Up against Troyes, Lopes will be hoping to deliver the form that has seen him deliver 13 goals this season.

With a successful campaign under his belt, Lopes likely to be the target of many of Europe’s leading sides.

Edinson Cavani, PSG – 117 points

Perhaps a risk considering their slight dip in form with the league campaign tied up, but Cavani’s form means he remains dangerous in this tie.

With 28 goals and four assists in his 30 Ligue 1 games this season, he has proven a valuable replacement for the injured Neymar.

Memphis Depay, Lyon – 88 points

A man rejuvenated since moving to France, Depay has now scored 16 and assisted a further 12 this season – putting his poor spell at Manchester United truly behind him.

His record speaks for itself and he’ll be another player primed to give relegation threatened Strasbourg a headache on the weekend.
