The new season of Premier League is almost upon us, and the action starts on the Friday night when Manchester United host Leicester City at Old Trafford. In another exciting fixture of the opening weekend, Arsenal will host standing champions Manchester City.
Here are our predictions and previews for EPL fixtures in the first weekend of the season:
Manchester United vs Leicester City
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has created a lot of noise during the summer. United have failed to acquire their targets in the transfer window, and many expect them to struggle this season. However, we back the Red Devils to claim all three points at Old Trafford on the opening weekend.
Newcastle United vs Tottenham
Tottenham have been rather quiet on the transfer front this summer. Despite their lack of transfer activity, Spurs have enough quality to claim a win over the Magpies. However, the North London side are expected to be without key names such as Harry Kane and Dele Alli. We believe Newcastle can take advantage of the situation and get a draw in this game.
