EPL Weekend Picks – Round 4

Mamadou Sakho

The first three weeks of the 2018-19 Premier League season have gone according to plan for many EPL Fantasy managers, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City all having unbeaten starts to the campaign, but there are still plenty of players across the league who could be worthy of inclusion in your team this weekend.

GK – Jordan Pickford (Everton)
Everton haven’t started well defensively this season, conceding five goals in three games, but Jordan Pickford’s tally of -4 points should improve with home fixtures against Huddersfield and West Ham coming up. At 7.00m, he’s worth considering.

DF – Jeffrey Schlupp (Crystal Palace)
Despite his ‘defender’ status, Jeffrey Schlupp has been playing on the left side of midfield this season, so he could earn you points for a clean sheet and also chip in with goals and assists. With six points this season, he’s well worth 4.00m.

DF – Mamadou Sakho (Crystal Palace)
Mamadou Sakho is another Crystal Palace player who you should definitely take a look at. The 5.00m-rated defender only has three points this season, but it’s worth bearing in mind that Palace don’t face any of the ‘Big 6’ until late October.

DF – Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)
Marcos Alonso was the highest-rated EPL Fantasy defender in 2017-18 (85 points) and he already has 10 points this season. With a value of 8.50m, he would be a solid addition to your team ahead of matches against Bournemouth and Cardiff.

DF – Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)
Liverpool’s fixture list is set to get a little trickier – they have trips to Leicester and Tottenham coming up – but Andrew Robertson would still be a good addition at 7.00m. He has 17 points this season – more than any other EPL defender.

MD – Roberto Pereyra (Watford)
It’s difficult for EPL Fantasy managers to ignore Roberto Pereyra. The Watford man comes at a bargain 5.50m and he already has 13 points this season. With home fixtures coming up against Tottenham and Manchester United, he’s one to watch.

MD – Theo Walcott (Everton)
Marco Silva’s new system at Everton has suited Theo Walcott more than anybody. The January signing has scored in his last two games, earning 10 points, and he’s likely to add to that points tally against Huddersfield and West Ham.

MD – Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Wilfried Zaha represents a risk-free addition to anybody’s EPL Fantasy team. At 8.50m, Crystal Palace’s talisman picked up 55 points in 2017-18 and he already has eight points this season after two goals from three games.

ST – Callum Wilson (Bournemouth)
With two goals and one assist, 8.00m-rated Callum Wilson has earned eight points this season – Sergio Aguero is the only striker with more – and he will be a real threat to Chelsea, Leicester and Burnley’s defences in the next few weeks.

ST – Pedro Rodriguez (Chelsea)
After his measly total of 19 points last season, you can be forgiven for ignoring Pedro at the start of 2018-19. However, with two goals and eight points from three games, he’s worth considering at a relatively cheap 6.00m.

ST – Troy Deeney (Watford)
Troy Deeney has established himself as Watford’s main forward again this season. He’s only scored once so far, earning a total of six points, but his 6.50m value is among the best you’ll find for a regular starter who chips in with goals.
