EPL Weekend Picks – Round 13

David Silva

The 13th week of the 2018-19 Premier League season sees Manchester City travel to West Ham, while Tottenham host Chelsea in one of the biggest games of the campaign so far. Let’s take a look at 11 players who you should consider for your EPL Fantasy team this weekend…

GK – Rui Patricio (Wolves)
Wolves play two of the Premier League’s lowest-scoring sides — Huddersfield and Cardiff — over the next week, so Rui Patricio is well worth considering. The Portuguese goalkeeper has 18 points so far this season.

DF – Aymeric Laporte (Manchester City)
Another week, another Weekend Pick selection for Aymeric Laporte. The Manchester City defender has been selected by 15 percent of EPL Fantasy players after helping his side keep seven clean sheets in 12 games. He will surely add to his tally of 38 points in upcoming matches against West Ham, Bournemouth and Watford.

DF – Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)
No defender has more points (41) than Andrew Robertson in the Premier League this season. The Scot only costs 7.00m and he already has three assists and seven clean sheets in 2018-19.

DF – Ben Mee (Burnley)
Burnley have conceded 25 goals in 12 games — the second-highest amount in the league — but their defensive woes will surely change in upcoming matches against low-scoring Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Brighton. At 5.00m, Ben Mee is a relatively cheap option.

MD – David Silva (Manchester City)
David Silva has been as impressive as ever for Manchester City this season, particularly in the Manchester derby before the international break. The Spaniard has 29 points in 2018-19 and costs 9.50m.

MD – James Milner (Liverpool)
James Milner has scored two goals and recorded two assists in the league this season. He’s unlikely to be a regular scorer of points but he’s worth considering at 6.50m.

MD – Josh Murphy (Cardiff)
Like Milner, Josh Murphy is not a regular points scorer — he only has 12 so far this season — but he comes at a bargain price of 2.00m, so he could be worth selecting if you need funds for more expensive players.

MD – Erik Lamela (Tottenham)
Valued at 7.00m, Erik Lamela has picked up an impressive 24 points this season. The Tottenham midfielder has established himself in the starting XI again over the last few weeks, so expect him to feature more in upcoming games.

ST – Raul Jimenez (Wolves)
Raul Jimenez has three goals and four assists for Wolves this season, giving him a points tally of 20 in 2018-19. Valued at 5.50m, not many players have a better points-per-million ratio than the Mexican.

ST – Anthony Martial (Manchester United)
Anthony Martial has arguably been Manchester United’s best player this season. The Frenchman has scored six goals, earning 23 points in the process, and he is good value at 8.00m.

ST – Jamie Vardy (Leicester)
Leicester’s next three games come against Brighton, Watford and Fulham, so Jamie Vardy is likely to add to his tally of three league goals over the next month.
