EPL Weekend Picks – Round 14

Dele Alli

The 14th week of the 2018-19 Premier League season sees Liverpool host Everton, while Tottenham make the short trip across north London to face Arsenal. Let’s take a look at 11 players who you should consider for your EPL Fantasy team this weekend…

GK – Jordan Pickford (Everton)
We’re going to look specifically at players who have gone under the radar in EPL Fantasy this season, starting with Jordan Pickford. Everton’s 7.00m-rated No.1 has picked up 15 points in 2018-19 — only five goalkeepers have a better record.

DF – Michael Keane (Everton)
Continuing the Everton selections, Michael Keane is on a very impressive 24 points already this season — he picked up 13 in the whole of 2017-18 — and he costs a bargain price of 3.50m.

DF – DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle)
Despite Newcastle’s tough start, DeAndre Yedlin has still managed to pick up 13 points from his 12 appearances this season. With Rafa Benitez’s side back in form, he might be worth considering at 5.50m.

DF – Shane Duffy (Brighton)
Cut-price signings don’t come much better than Shane Duffy at 1.50m. The Brighton defender has scored two goals and kept three clean sheets this season, picking up 13 points along the way.

MD – Roberto Firmino (Liverpool)
Roberto Firmino hasn’t been at his goalscoring best this season (three in 13 league games) but only seven midfielders in the league have a better return of 32 points in 2018-19. Valued at 11.00m, he would be a relatively expensive addition to your team.

MD – Roberto Pereyra (Watford)
Roberto Pereyra has gone through hit-and-miss spells this season, but he’s a 5.50m gamble worth taking. The Watford midfielder starts every game and he has 25 points so far in 2018-19.

MD – Theo Walcott (Everton)
Theo Walcott’s best form came at the start of the season but he remains a regular starter in Marco Silva’s new-look Everton side. He has 20 points after 13 games, which isn’t too bad considering his 7.00m value.

MD – Felipe Anderson (West Ham)
It took a while for Felipe Anderson to get going but the midfielder is starting to show why West Ham paid so much for him. He has four goals and one assist this season, earning 17 points, and he starts every match. He’s worth considering at 8.00m.

MD – Dele Alli (Tottenham)
Dele Alli has only started six league games this season due to injury. However, his return from those appearances — two goals, one assist and 14 points — is very good. The 9.50m midfielder could be a good addition if he maintains his place in the starting XI.

ST – Glenn Murray (Brighton)
With seven goals from 12 starts, Glenn Murray has picked up 26 points in 2018-19 so far — only four strikers have more — and he continues to be Brighton’s talisman. Valued at 8.00m, he’s definitely one to look at.

ST – Andre Schurrle (Fulham)
Fulham have been woeful for much of the season but Andre Schurrle has still been able to pick up 18 points from 13 games, scoring five times and recording one assist. He is valued at 7.50m.
