Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 19

Juventus: Blaise Matuidi and Medhi Benatia missed the last game, but they will be available to play. Federico Bernardeschi has been called up after missing time with a thigh pull. Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended. Juan Cuadrado underwent knee surgery and could be on the shelf for three months. 

Napoli: Lorenzo Insigne and Kalidou Koulibaly were handed two-game bans. Marek Hamsik subbed off against Inter due to a thigh injury and will try to recover for the first game of 2019.

Inter: Marco Brozovic is disqualified. Radja Nainggolan will be available after the team-mandated suspension and Joao Miranda is back after skipping two due to muscle fatigue.

Lazio: Valon Berisha and Riza Durmisi sat out the last game due to undisclosed injuries and are questionable for the next one.

Sampdoria: Joachim Andersen in suspended, while Bartosz Bereszysnki will be on the mend again due to a thigh strain, like Edgar Barreto

Milan: Suso was out in the midweek match because of a groin inflammation, but he could play in the weekend if he passes the final fitness test. Fabio Borini (ankle sprain) and Andrea Bertolacci (sore thigh tendons) have recovered.

Roma: Lorenzo Pellegrini resumed practicing regularly and he could return from a pair of thigh ailments. Patrik Schick and Davide Santon picked up adductor issues on Wednesday they are questionable. Daniele De Rossi is not expected to come back this week from his knee cartilage tear.

Torino: Salvatore Sirigu (bruised back) and Koffi Djidji (sore thigh) did not play on Wednesday and they remain questionable. Salvador Ichazo is banged up too.

Atalanta:  Marten De Roon will be on the shelf again due to a blow to the knee/lower leg.

Fiorentina: Gerson and Vitor Hugo are suspended. Nikola Milenkovic bowed out of the Parma game due to a thigh problem, but it is not overly concerning. Kevin Mirallas should be back after skipping one because he was sick.

Sassuolo: Alfred Duncan has been called up after missing two fixtures with a minor injury. Kevin-Prince Boateng has re-joined the group and will be available or Saturday. Gianmarco Ferrari is disqualified. Maruicio Lemos has been ruled out.

Parma: Leo Stulac got hit in the knee and he is questionable, while Matteo Scozzarella is dealing with a calf injury and has been ruled out. Roberto Inglese is fatigued. 

Cagliari: Joao Pedro subbed off very early after a harsh tackle in the Genoa match, but it turned to be a minor thing and he is called up. Ragnar Klavan and Charalampos Lykogiannis are out with their recent muscular issues.

Genoa: Koray Gunter and Luca Mazzitelli stay out with recent physical problems. Goran Pandev has been ruled out, while Domenico Criscito is dinged up but should tough it out.

SPAL: Manuel Lazzari sprained his ankle in the last match and will miss the next one. Johan Djourou will sit out another one due to a groin injury.

Empoli: Rade Krunic and Giovanni Di Lorenzo are suspended. Domenico Maietta was taken out of the last match because of a muscular problem and has been ruled out.

Udinese:  Rodrigo De Paul is disqualified. No updates for their long-term injured players.

Bologna: Blerin Dzemaili missed some practice time with an undisclosed injury, but he is in the squad list, like Diego Falcinelli.

Frosinone: Marco Capuano should be back after being out with the flu, while Lorenzo Ariaudo subbed off after spraining his ankle in the last game and will be on the mend, like Francesco Cassata, who has suffered the same injury.  

Chievo: Joel Obi was taken out of the last fixtures due to a muscular problem and will miss the next one, like Fabrizio Cacciatore (calf). On the other hand, Valter Birsa (foot) and Manuel Pucciarelli (knee) have recovered.
