Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 27

Juventus: Miralem Pjanic and Joao Cancelo are suspended, while Douglas Costa (quad, calf), Sami Khedira (heart) and Juan Cuadrado (knee) remain sidelined. Mattia De Sciglio has been ruled out late due a thigh problem.

Napoli: Alex Meret is disqualified and Raul Albiol is recovering from a clean-up knee surgery.

Milan: Ricardo Rodriguez is banned. Hakan Calhanoglu might not play as he flew to Germany for the birth of his child eariler this week . Mattia Caldara is expected to be back in the squad list, while Cristian Zapata is more likely to return next week.  

Inter: Radja Nainggolan suffered a calf pull and will be on the mend this week. Ivan Perisic subbed off in Europa League due to muscle fatigue, but he will at least be available.. Matias Vecino is suspended. Balde Keita (thigh) and Mauro Icardi (knee soreness) stayed out for the midweek game: Keita will return to the squad list, while the striker is expected to miss another one.

Roma: Edin Dzeko, Federico Fazio and Aleksandar Kolarov are suspended. Lorenzo Pellegrini suffered a thigh injury against Porto which has yet to be assessed, Daniele De Rossi a calf one. Javier Pastore skipped that fixture because of a calf ailment. Cengiz Under is not expected to return in this round. Kostas Manolas has reportedly suffered a thigh strain. Patrik Schick has a sore calf but he should be able to play. Also Nicolò Zaniolo picked up a calf a calf ailment.

Lazio: Thomas Strakosha is questionable due to a bruised shoulder. Wallace (thigh), Jordan Lukaku (knee) and Valon Berisha (calf) are slated to sit out another one. Senad Lulic is fatigued. Ciro Immobile is still not 100 percent after recently missing time with a thigh pull.

Atalanta: Rafael Toloi missed last week’s game due to a last-minute thigh problem and it does not look like he will be able to recover. On the other hand, Andrea Masiello, who bowed out against Fiorentina, should be good to go.

Torino: Ola Aina was a late scratch in the last game due to an abdominal pull, but he could be able to make the bench. Iago Falque was taken out but he avoided a significant thigh injury and he should be at least called up. Sasa Lukic suffered a calf ailment late in the web.

Sampdoria: Fabio Quagliarella missed some practice time due to a sore thigh, but it looks like he will be able to play through it. Gaston Ramirez could return after missing time with a calf injury and Lorenzo Tonelli will do the same. Edgar Barreto is out again.

Fiorentina: German Pezzella and Kevin Mirallas returned last week. Alban Lafont sprained his ankle last week but could be able to giut it out. Marko Pjaca suffered an ACL tear and will miss the rest of the season.

Sassuolo: Andrea Consigli is suspended. Federico Peluso and Stefano Sensi both banged up, while Marlon is not expected back this week from his thigh strain.

Genoa: Luca Mazzitelli and Gianluca Lapadula (back) could return from the injuries that sidelined them in recent weeks, while Andrea Favilli could be out a little longer due to a strain. Andrei Radu has been ruled out with an undisclosed injury.

Parma: Matteo Scozzarella (calf) and Fabio Ceravolo (thigh) are on their way to a full recovery from their muscular pulls. Leo Stulac was diagnosed with a grade two calf (gastrocnemius muscle) strain and could be out of commission for six-to-eight weeks. Antonino Barillà has a sore adductor.

Cagliari: Filippo Romagna has recovered from patellar tendon soreness and Valter Birsa could be back as well, at least in limited fashion, from a forearm fracture. Paolo Faragò and Luca Cigarini are suspended. Alberto Cerri (thigh) and Ragnar Klavan (Achilles) remain the only ones on the mend.

Udinese: Valon Behrami (thigh), Marco D’Alessandro (calf), Samir (ankle), Antonin Barak (back), Emmanuel Badu (knee) have not been called up. Rolando Mandragora is disqualified. Stefano Okaka and Bram Nuytinck are a little dinged up but they should gut it out.

SPAL: Manuel Lazzarri remains sidelined due to a thigh pull. Thiago Cionek is suspended. Alessandro Murgia is out due to the flu.

Empoli: Levan Mchedlidze and Luca Antonelli seems headed for another absence due

Bologna: Mattia Destro is slated to return after missing a couple of games with a thigh strain.

Frosinone: Francesco Cassata is suspended. Paolo Sammarco has a thigh ailment that could cost him a match, while Luca Valzania had a minor ankle sprain, but he should be available. Paolo Ghiglione and Matteo Dionisi remain out.

Chievo: Luca Rigoni is suspended. Ezequiel Schelotto announced that he will undergo season-ending knee surgery after it buckled last week. Nenad Tomovic and Sergio Pellissier remain on the mend with thigh strains, while Nicolas Frey is available.
