Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 31

Juventus: Mario Mandzukic (flu), Paulo Dybala (calf) and Leonardo Spinazzola (knee) have recovered from their problems, while Cristiano is sitll out. Sami Khedira, Douglas Costa and Juan Cuadrado have ramped up their activity and are close to returning, but they will not be called up in this round. Martin Caceres will miss three weeks with a thigh strain.

Napoli: Lorenzo Insigne is said to have almost recuperated from his thigh contracture and could be in the squad list in this round. David Ospina (head), Faouzi Ghoulam and Vlad Chiriches (thigh) should be in the squad in list, while Raul Albiol is not far away. 

Inter: Lautaro Martinez and Stefan De Vrij are iffy for this round too for their thigh ailments.

Milan: Lucas Paquetà suffered a high ankle sprain against Udinese and will be out for up to a month, although the timetable should be clearer next week. Gianluigi Donnarumma picked up a thigh strain that will sideline him for about 20 days. Suso did not play against Udinese due to a bruised instep, but he is fine now, while Franck Kessié has a sore knee but could make it. Andrea Conti is questionable with muscle fatigue.

Atalanta: Duvan Zapata is suspended. Rafael Toloi has an outside shot at recovering from an ankle injury.

Lazio: Joaquin Correa (back) bit the bullet against SPAL. Stefan Radu was in the squad list but unused after an ankle sprain.

Torino: Sasa Lukic are Ola Aina are disqualified. Lorenzo De Silvestri got hit in the kneecap in the last game and will try to play through it.

Roma: Diego Perotti has been ruled out due to muscle fatigue and Davide Santon picked up a thigh injury that will force him to miss a month. Stephan El Shaarawy (thigh) is available for a limited stint, while Cengiz Under and Lorenzo Pellegrini got some playing time on Wednesday.

Sampdoria: Bartosz Bereszynski is suspended. Albin Ekdal is trying to come back from a knee contusion, while Edgar Barreto (thigh) and Gianluca Caprari (fibula) are still out. Omar Colley was knocked on the jaw but did not fracture it, so he is available to play.

Fiorentina: Federico Chiesa (groin) was able to play against Roma, while Edimilson Fernandes was ruled out again due to a thigh problem.

Sassuolo: Marlon was diagnosed with a hamstring injury and will be on the shelf for a while, like Claud Adjapong, who sprained his ankle.

Genoa: Cristian Romero and Ervin Zukanovic are disqualified.

Cagliari: Darijo Srna is suspended, but no other absences besides the long-term of Lucas Castro, since Ragnar Klavan is back after few months. Luca Pellegrini has missed some practice time this week but he should be able to play.

Parma: Gervinho (thigh) and Bruno Alves (calf) are not dealing with severe injuries, but it is too early for them to play. Roberto Inglese (ankle) and Jonathan Biabiany (knee) will stay on the mend.

SPAL: Manuel Lazzari is suspended. Lorenco Simic has spent some time on the mend due to a thigh injury.

Udinese: Valon Behrami fractured his fibula and will miss the rest of the season. William Troost-Ekong skipped the last game due to a muscular hiccup and is questionable again. Marco D’Alessandro could be back from a calf strain, while Bram Nuytinck is slated to miss another one.

Empoli: Bartlomiej Dragowski (thigh), Cristiano Dell’Orco (calf) and Afriyie Acquah were called up on Wednesday, but did not play due to dings and bruises. Rade Krunic subbed off with an apparent thigh injury. Jacob Rasmussen has missed time due to a blow to the head during the break. Dimitri Oberlin has the flu, while Salih Ucan is doubtful due to an undisclosed problem.

Bologna: Simone Edera was ruled out late for the Atalanta game due to a shoulder contusion.

Frosinone: Federico Viviani avoided a major thigh injury, but he will stay out for this round, like Mirko Gori who has a bad ankle.

Chievo: Nenad Tomovic was called up in the last round after missing quite some time with a thigh strain, so only Ezequiel Schelotto in out of commission.
