Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 34

Juventus: Giorgio Chiellini has good chances to be back from a calf contracture and Martin Caceres from a thigh strain, while Douglas Costa (calf). Paulo Dybala (quad) and Mario Mandzukic (knee) will not be back this week. Rodrigo Bentancur has been ruled out with muscle fatigue.

Napoli: Raul Albiol is expected to return after missing time following a knee clean-up surgery. Vlad Chiriches hurt his shoulder in the last game and will undergo surgery, while Nikola Maksimovic and Amadou Diawara are nursing foot issues. Adam Ounas skipped the last two games due to a muscular ailment, but he is back in the squad list. Allan and Lorenzo Insigne are both fatigued and have been ruled out. 

Inter: Marcelo Brozovic has recovered from his thigh injury, while Borja Valero avoided a similar issue after subbing off last week.

Milan: Davide Calabria suffered a fibula fracture that will force him to sit the remaining matches. Ivan Strinic picked up an ankle sprain.

Atalanta: Rafael Toloi underwent surgery to fix his ankle and will not return this year.

Roma: Bryan Cristante and Nicolò Zaniolo are suspended. Kostas Manolas pulled out in the warm-ups last week, but he could be able to recover. Daniele De Rossi, Davide Santon and Rick Karsdorp remain on the mend with thigh injuries.

Torino: Simone Zaza and Daniele Baselli are disqualified. Iago Falque is working his way back from a knee sprain and has some chances to be called up. Koffi Djidji has undergo knee surgery to remove a torn meniscus and will likely be on the mend the rest of the way.

Lazio: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto are disqualified and the Serbian also suffered a knee sprain in Coppa Italia that will likely sideline him for further matches. Stefan Radu’s ankle flared up again.

Sampdoria: Joachim Andersen will not be available due to an undiclosed injury.

Cagliari: Paolo Faragò was red carded last week. Fabrizio Cacciatore will be back from a thigh injury, while Ragnar Klavan will likely miss the rest of the season due to an MCL sprain.

Fiorentina: Pietro Terracciano missed the midweek Coppa Italia clash due to muscle fatigue.

Sassuolo: Manuel Locatelli is suspended. Giangiacomo Mangani is dealing with sports hernia and they are weighing their options for the recovery. Claud Adjapong is trying to shake off an ankle sprain.

SPAL: Thiago Cionek is disqualified. Mo Fares hurt his ankle in practice but could be available. Marko Jankovic, Lorenco Simic and Lorenzo Dickmann sat out last week’s game with minor muscular problems.

Parma: Gervinho and Alessandro Bastoni missed some practice time due to knocks, but they should be available for the weekend, while Matteo Scozzarella is questionable for the same reason. Roberto Inglese (ankle), Jonathan Biabiany (knee) and Francisco Sierralta will not be back this week. Riccardo Gagliolo has been ruled out with a late injury.

Genoa: Miguel Veloso is susepnded. Antonio Sanabria sustained a mild knee sprain and might miss one. Stefano Sturaro was diagnosed with a knee and ankle sprain and his season is likely over, like Andrea Favilli’s one due to a muscular injury.

Bologna: Federico Mattiello might have suffered a relapse of his thigh injury.

Udinese: William Troost-Ekong and Seko Fofana got hurt in the last game and are likely to miss at least one match with their muscular issues. The Frenchman’s problem is believed to be serious. Hidde Ter Avest and Nicholas Opoku could be back after skipping a pair. Svante Ingelsson injured his shoulder, but it should not be a big deal. Emil Hallfredsson has recovered.

Empoli: Diego Farias should be able to return from a thigh pull and also Marko Pajac has recovery very quickly from his hamstring strain and could perhaps be in the squad list. Cristiano Dell’Orco bowed out versus SPAL but his problem is not considered severe, unlike Domenico Maietta’s one, which will sideline him for a while.

Frosinone: Camillo Ciano is suspended. Francesco Cassata and Federico Viviani have some chances to be back from thigh problems. Luca Paganini has a sore thigh and might not start.

Chievo: Stefano Sorrentino, Emanuele Giaccherini and Filip Djordjevic were not called up last week as they want to go young the rest of the way. Pawel Jaroszynki is back after missing some time, Luca Rossettini is injured too, while Emanuel Vignato is banged up.
