Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 36

Juventus: Paulo Dybala (calf), Rodrigo Bentancur (thigh), Emre Can (thigh) and Alex Sandro have resumed practicing fully and therefore should be available on Sunday, while Douglas Costa (calf) and Daniele Rugani (thigh) will not come back this week. Federico Bernardeschi is suspended. Moise Kean is out with the flu, Leonardo Bonucci with a bruised ankle.

Napoli: David Ospina is on personal leave to tend to a personal matter in Colombia. Nikola Maksimovic (toe) is slated to remain on the shelf, while Amadou Diawara (foot) got in a full practice after a long time, so he might be called up. Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Adam Ounas have been surprisingly ruled out due to small ailments.

Inter: Danilo D’Ambrosio and Marcelo Brozovic are suspended. Stefan De Vrij pulled an adductor in the right thigh and will not play this week, while Matias Vecino is close to shaking off a rectus femoris contracture.

Atalanta: Alejandro Gomez, Gianluca Mancini and Andrea Masiello are suspended, while Musa Barrow is good to go after missing time due to ribs pain.

Milan: Lucas Paquetà was slapped with a three-game ban and the club will not appeal, so his season is over. Hakan Calhanoglu and Lucas Biglia subbed versus Bologna: the Turk do to an easily solvable groin ailment, the Argentinian for a pelvis contusion: he avoided fractures or lesions, but it should keep him out for at least a game. Ivan Strinic has been on the shelf for a while due to an ankle sprain.

Roma: Daniele De Rossi and Davide Santon are slated to return after spending time on the shelf with thigh strains. Alessandro Florenzi bowed out last week, but avoided serious complication and should be fine. Diego Perotti has been called up too.

Torino: Tomas Rincon is suspended, while Iago Falque has recovered from the setback of his knee injury. Vittorio Parigini may not return from his thigh injury (adductor longus MTJ pull).

Lazio: Ciro Immobile is fatigued and might be limited this week, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is out again since his ankle is still not pain-free. Thomas Strokosha will be on the mend with an Achilles problem. Stefan Radu seems to have finally solved his ankle problems, while Patric is dealing with a thigh one.

Sampdoria: Omar Colley is suspended, Joachim Andersen remains iffy with the problem that cost him two matches and Karol Linetty is banged up as well.

Sassuolo: Manuel Locatelli, Alessandro Matri and Claud Adjapong are nicked up but they should be at the coach’s disposal.

SPAL: Jasmin Kurtic is questionable due to a foot contusion, while Lorenzo Dickmann should be back after a month.

Cagliari: Artur Ionita was handed a two-game suspension. Ragnar Klavan and Lucas Castro have returned to full practice after their knee injuries. Paolo Faragò will miss six months following hip surgery. Luca Ceppitelli is out with Achilles soreness.

Fiorentina: Jordan Veretout is suspended for two matches. German Pezzella will skip at least one contest for a facial fracture.

Parma: Antonino Barillà and Juraj Kucka are disqualified. Roberto Inglese (ankle), Riccardo Gagliolo (calf) and Alberto Grassi (knee) have recovered enough to be in the squad list, while Nicholas Schiappacasse (thigh), Amadou Diakhate (thigh), Jonathan Biabiany (knee) remain sidelined.

Bologna: Mitchell Dijks, Andrea Poli and Nicola Sansone are suspended, Adam Nay was out last week due to labyrinthitis, Federico Mattiello with a thigh (rectus femoris strain): the midfielder has better chances to be available.

Genoa: Darko Lazovic has an edema in his calf that will sideline him for at least this weekend and Luca Mazzitelli has picked up a new muscular injury.

Udinese: William Troost-Ekong has recovered form his adductor contracture, while Seko Fofana (thigh) and Nicholas Opoku (knee) remain on the wrong side of questionable. Svante Ingelsson is out for the season following shoulder surgery, joining Valon Behrami (fibula) and Antonin Barak (back) on that regard.

Empoli: Francesco Caputo has a bruised foot, but that should not stop him from playing. Among the players that have been sidelined recently, Cristiano Dell’Orco is the only one with some chances to come back this week, while Luca Antonelli (calf) and Domenico Maietta (thigh) and Kevin Diks (knee) will be held out again.

Frosinone: Marco Sportiello is disqualified. Raman Chibsah has a sore knee that might keep him out, while Mirko Gori (ankle edema), Federico Viviani (thigh flexor pull) and Bartosz Salamon (thigh) have yet to resume working fully so they should be out of commission again. Luca Paganini is banged up.

Chievo: Assane Diousse is disqualified. Fabio Depaoli and Mattia Bani are available after recent injuries.
