Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 37

Juventus: Leonardo Bonucci has recovered from his ankle sprain, Daniele Rugani from hamstring soreness and even Mario Mandzukic was able to practice fully late in the week after dealing with a patellar tendon problem for a while. Moise Kean has shaken off the flu. Giorgio Chiellini has picked up yet another calf ailment, but he is available. Miralem Pjanic is fine after twisting his ankle last week.

Napoli: Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne have good chances to return after skipping one with muscle fatigue. Nikola Maksimovic and Amadou Diawara are close to healing from their foot infractions. David Ospina is still in Colombia for personal reasons, while Adam Ounas remains questionable after missing one.

Inter: Matteo Politano rolled his ankle in the last game and there is pessimism about his recovery, but he has been called up. Stefan De Vrij remains out with an adductor pull.

Atalanta: José-Luis Palomino is suspended. Musa Barrow had already recovered for the midweek cup final.

Milan: Lucas Paquetà will continue to serve his suspension and the club is considered unlikely to appeal to have him back for the final game. Ivan Strinic (ankle) is unlikely to return and Mattia Caldara (ACL), Giacomo Bonaventura (knee cartilage) and Davide Calabria (fibula fracture) are lost for the season. Lucas Biglia should be available after a pelvis contusion.

Roma: Lorenzo Pellegrini bowed out with a thigh problem against Juventus: he was unable to practice fully all week, but he is the squad list. Kostas Manolas is out with a late ankle problem.

Torino: Cristian Ansaldi is dealing with a thigh (biceps femoris) pull that will prevent him from featuring on Sunday.

Lazio: Stefan Radu is disqualified, Valon Berisha and Jordan Lukaku remain on the shelf with knee injuries.

Sampdoria: Gregoire Defrel was a late scratch last week due to a bruised calf and he is questionable for the upcoming weekend. Nicola Murru will be sidelined by an ankle ailment, joining Joachim Andersen (thigh) on the stands.

Sassuolo: Mehdi Bourabia is suspended, Federico Peluso underwent sports-hernia surgery and will miss the final two games. He might be joined in that regard by Stefano Sensi, who fractured the scaphoid bone in his right wrist and will miss the last two games. Domenico Berardi was under the weather last week, but he is obviously fine now.

SPAL: Jasmin Kurtic is trying to shake off a foot contusion that did not allow him to play last week and should feature. Simone Missiroli (ribs) and Felipe (back) have been ruled out.

Cagliari: Luca Ceppitelli is unlikely to return as he is nursing a sore Achilles tendon. Cyril Thereau has been ruled out with an undisclosed problem.

Bologna: Federico Mattiello remains sidelined due to a thigh (rectus femoris) strain.

Fiorentina: Vincent Laurini subbed off last week with lower leg problem and his availability is uncertain. German Pezzella is a game-time decision after having a facial surgery last week.. Edimilson Fernandes is banged up.

Parma: Luca Rigoni and Bruno Alves are suspended. Juraj Kucka is dealing with an undisclosed injury but he will be available. Jonathan Biabiany has re-joined the group this week and he might be available for Sunday. Francisco Sierralta is nicked up, Amadou Diakhate (thigh) is out. Roberto Inglese has been ruled out because he had a reoccurrence of his ankle problem.

Udinese: Seko Fofana is slated to miss another one with a thigh strain, Nicholas Opoku with a bruised knee.

Genoa: Cristiano Romero is disqualified and Darko Lazovic (calf) and Luca Mazzittelli (thigh) are not expected to be back this week.

Empoli: Domenico Maietta has resumed practicing three weeks after suffering a thigh strain. Francesco Caputo (foot), Rade Krunic (back) is out with a late thigh problem. Luca Antonelli remains out of commission with a calf strain.

Frosinone: Federico Viviani is not back in the squad, even though he has been close for a couple of weeks.  Luca Paganini (thigh pull) is questionable, Raman Chibsah (knee), Mirko Gori (ankle edema) and Bartosz Salamon (thigh strain) are out. Andrea Pinamonti is with the U-20 national team.

Chievo: Nicola Rigoni is suspended and they have no injuries since Andrea Seculin was called up this week after recovering from an ACL tear.
