AC Milan rumour round-up: Two signings close as Cutrone departs

Another week has pasted and AC Milan remain very active on the transfer market. While two players are set to depart, at least two are expected to join the Rossoneri in the coming days.

Wolves close deal for Cutrone; Andre Silva to move as well

On Friday, Cutrone left AC Milan’s training camp in Boston to fly back to Milan, ready to complete his move to Premier League and Wolves. An agreement has been reached between the clubs at €18m plus bonuses, while the striker will earn around €2m per year, which is double of what he earns now.

In addition to the Italian, Andre Silva will also leave the Rossoneri this summer, despite the collapse of his move to Monaco. However, there should be no issue finding him a new destination, thus a move is still very much on the cards for the Portuguese striker. In total, Milan could cash in €48 from both of their sales.

Two strikers out; two strikers in?

A few days ago, the deal for Angel Correa seemed done. However, the negotiations between Milan and Atletico Madrid have slowed down in recent days, as they are yet to find an agreement on the transfer fee. The San Siro side remain firm on their initial offer of €40m, while the Spanish side would like more.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are close to completing a deal for Lille’s Rafael Leao, who also is a striker. The transfer fee is expected to be around €35m, which is partly the reason why negotiations for Correa have slowed down. With the purchase of Leao, Milan are in no rush to make a big investment for the attack, although Correa is still very much a target.

Negotiations accelerated for Duarte; defender expected in Milan

As the Rossoneri have decided to allocate most of their budget to the attack, they decided to go for a cheaper defensive option, setting their sights on Flamengo’s Leo Duarte. The 23-year-old is expected to arrive in Milan very soon, ready to become an important depth player for Giampaolo’s men.

The deal will reportedly cost €11m plus bonuses, which is significantly cheaper than some of the other defensive players that Milan were linked to. On an interesting note, the negotiations were carried out by Alessandro Lucci, the agent of Calabria and Suso, which explains his continuous visits at Casa Milan over the past few weeks.

In the coming days, we will know more about Milan’s situation in general, but the squad is beginning to take shape ahead of the upcoming season. Speaking of which, make sure to check out www.fantasyseriea.com to get your team ready ahead of the campaign.
