Serie A Injury and Suspensions Report – Round Six

Atalanta: Luis Muriel is dealing with tonsillitis and his recovery for the weekend is uncertain.

Bologna: Danilo could be back from his thigh strain in this round, while Mitchell Dijks is very likely to miss another one due to a rib injury.

Brescia: Giangiacomo Magnani, Emanuele Ndoj (ankle) and Ernesto Torregrossa (quad) are expected to stay on the mend. Mario Balotelli has a minor neck problem.

Cagliari: Radja Nainggolan resumed practicing fully on Friday and so there is a chance he is called up for Sunday.

Fiorentina: Jacob Rasmussen continues to be sidelined by an illness.

Genoa: Davide Biraschi and Edoardo Goldaniga skipped the last match for injuries that were indicated as minor by the club and so they could recuperate quickly.

Inter: no injuries to deal with for Antonio Conte.

Juventus: Cristiano Ronaldo will be back after missing one due to muscle fatigue. Danilo picked up a thigh strain and will miss the next two, like Mattia De Sciglio and Douglas Costa, who need more time to recover from similar issues. Alex Sandro flew to Brazil due to the death of his father and is unlikely to be available.

Lazio: Stefan Radu should be back after missing one with the flu.

Lecce: Gianluca Lapadula, Diego Farias and Cristiano Dell’Orco will be sidelined a little longer, while Panagiotis Tachtisids has shaken off his thigh problem quickly and made the squad list.

Milan: Lucas Paqueta could not play on Thursday due to a thigh contracture but he will be available in the weekend.

Napoli: Kalidou Koulibaly is suspended, while Nikola Maksimovic subbed off from the last game because to a bruised thigh and is questionable, but he was regularly called up.

Parma: Juraj Kucka should finally be able to contribute after missing time twice already due to muscular problems, while Alberto Grassi is bothered by an achy knee. Matteo Darmian suffered a thigh strain and will likely miss the next two matches.

Roma: Leonardo Spinazzola was forced to bow out against Atalanta due to a thigh problem, but he avoided a strain so he should not be out for long. No returns among their other injured players: Davide Zappacosta, Cengiz Under, Diego Perotti and Mert Cetin, who is battling an illness. Lorenzo Pellegrini has been playing through a plantar injury and might be rested.

Sampdoria: Fabio Quagliarella was ultimately held out on Wednesday due to muscle fatigue but he should return in the weekend. Manolo Gabbiadini subbed off for a similar problem. Jeison Murillo is suspended.

Sassuolo: Filip Djuricic is questionable due to an undisclosed issue that has sidelined him for two matches. Rogerio has not been cleared yet after knee surgery.

SPAL: Federico Di Francesco subbed off in the last game and is believed to have suffered a thigh strain, so he will spend some time on the mend. Jasmin Kurtic has been ruled out due to a knee problem, while Mattia Valoti and Felipe are banged up: the former was unable to make the squad list.

Torino: Simone Zaza might have picked up a calf injury on that late chance against Milan. Sasa Lukic was not dealing with a major problem in the same area so he could return shortly.

Udinese: Rodrigo De Paul lost his appeal and will therefore serve the final game of his suspension. Kevin Lasagna subbed off due to back pain but has not missed practice time and should be out there in the next game.

Verona: no returns among their players who are dealing with strains, Salvatore Bocchetti (calf), Alessandro Crescenzi and Daniel Bessa (thigh). Samuel Di Carmine needed to be stitched up and could miss this one.
