Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 26 – Second Half

Brescia: Ales Mateju will miss this round due to yellow-card accumulation, as, by letter of the law, all suspensions in Serie A are served in the next match. Ernesto Torregrossa, Romulo have recovered from the small injuries that had sidelined them recently and will play against Sassuolo. Andrea Cistana hurt his ankle in practice, Sandro Tonali has a sore quad and they will both be sidelined.

Fiorentina: Dalbert is disqualified, while Franck Ribery returned to full training following his massive ankle sprain, but he will need some time to get his conditioning up.

Genoa: Stefano Sturaro is trying to shake off some muscle fatigue and he is questionable, like Marko Pajac, who has spent time on the shelf with a sore tibia. Paolo Ghiglione (thigh) is progressing but this week is likely too early.

Inter: Samir Handanovic took advantage of the prolonged layoff and he is fully expected to play against Juventus, making his return a month after suffering a pinkie infraction. Roberto Gagliardini should be available as well following a foot edema, while Stefano Sensi remains iffy. Victor Moses sustained a thigh problem that will likely hold him out.

Juventus: Giorgio Chiellini is battling muscle fatigue, Gianluigi Buffon some back pain. Adrien Rabiot should be fine despite a recent heel contusion. Sami Khedira (knee) and Douglas Costa (thigh) are available, as they were called up for the Lyon match.

Milan: Gianluigi Donnarumma looked poised to come back for the midweek Coppa Italia game, but he was ruled out as an ankle injury is still bothering and could sideline him over the weekend as well. Simon Kjaer has recuperated from a thigh strain, Lucas Biglia might make the squad list after a knee sprain.

Parma: Juraj Kucka was on the cusp of coming back last week and he will be all systems go for this one. Barring a late turnaround, Matteo Scozzarella and Antonino Barillà are not expected back in this round from their thigh issue. Hernani will miss at least one with a quad one.

Sampdoria: Nicola Murru and Gaston Ramirez are suspended. Morten Thorsby has recovered, while Karol Linetty is nursing a hip injury and he will be a last-minute call. Lorenzo Tonelli has missed some practice time with an unknown problem but there is optimism about his availability. Linetty and Tonelli have been called up, Edgar Barreto and Andrea Bertolacci were late scratches.

Sassuolo: Hamed Traore will be back from an ankle sprain, while Pedro Obiang was set to return for the previous game. Vlad Chiriches has been called up after months on the mend due to a thigh strain. Francesco Magnanelli suffered a last-minute thigh issue.

SPAL: Gabriel Strefezza is banned. Federico Di Francesco pulled his adductor in the right thigh and he is out, like Bryan Dabo, who is dealing with a similar issue, while Alberto Cerri is available. Marco D’Alessandro has been called up for the first time since his ACL tear.

Udinese: Sebastien De Maio and Bram Nuytinck exploited the break to solve their muscular ailments, so Sebastian Prodl (knee) is the only player on the disabled list.

Verona: Miguel Veloso is suspended, Marco Davide Faraoni (ankle) and Fabio Borini (thigh) will miss three-to-four weeks after additional tests. Giampaolo Pazzini instead has a chance to return from a calf strain.
