Pierluigi Gollini (5 points): just one clean sheet in this round, therefore the Atalanta goalkeeper gets the nod by default even though his contribution in the Parma game was limited to just a pair of solid saves.
Jose Palomino (5 points): the Goddess defenders were the only one able to take home five points in the midweek matchday and the Argentinian center-back was their best performer in a rather easy day given the opponent.
Federico Dimarco (4 points): for the second match in a row a Verona player bagged a stunner and this time it was the left fullback that came through with a terrific lefty volley from difficult position a la Van Basten.
Bremer (4 points): only defenders that found the target are candidates for the top XI in this round and the Brazilian had the most consequential goal, as he pounced on a loose ball from point-blank range to make it one-all late versus the Scaligeri.
Robin Gosens (6 points): another strong display for the Atalanta wing-back, who has returned to last year’s ungodly levels with multiple goals in recent titls. He wreaked havoc versus the Ducali, setting up Duvan Zapata with a quality through ball and then bagging a comfortable finish from inside the box.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan (6 points): he was pretty much the sole linchpin deployed in Roma’s front-line in the Crotone tilt and he promptly showed up, teeing up the first goal by Borja Mayoral with a wicked square ball after escaping down the left flank and nailing a PK.
Jeremie Boga (6 points): one goal and one assist for the Sassuolo winger as well, who completely bamboozled Andrea Masiello before burning Mattia Perin from close range and found Giacomo Raspadori with a soft cross for the game-winner.
Federico Chiesa (8 points): he willed Juventus to victory in the clash with Milan with a dazzling brace, leaving his direct opponent in his tracks twice with abrupt sprints and putting it past the goalkeeper with two thunderous cross-shots in the bottom corner.
Borja Mayoral (8 points): he stepped up in a day where Edin Dzeko was spared, nudging it home from the inside the six-yard box to give his side an early lead and then netting a tremendous piledriver from distance right in the top corner to basically seal the deal in the first half already.
Marco Sau (4 points): the veteran got a spot start Wednesday and fittingly stung his former team Cagliari with a shrewd finish in front of the goalie after cutting behind two defenders with admirable timing.
