Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 25

Atalanta: Marten De Roon is suspended. Duvan Zapata (thigh) has a chance to return but will be a late call. Bosko Sutalo (ankle) and Sam Lammers (shoulder) will remain sidelined and Viktor Kovalenko is on the mend too. 

Benevento: Federico Barba is disqualified. Riccardo Improta has recuperated from a thigh strain, while Iago Falque is nursing an unspecified injury.

Bologna: Danilo is out due to yellow-card accumulation. Aaron Hickey (shoulder sprain) joins Takehiro Tomiyasu (calf) and Andri Baldursson (thigh) among the players expected to miss two-to-three weeks. Gary Medel is available after a contracture, while Paolo Faragò will likely stay out.

Cagliari: Charalampos Lykogiannis was sent off last week. Riccardo Sottil is out again with a thigh strain.

Crotone: Milos Vulic (ankle) and Salvatore Molina (knee) were forced off Sunday and are being assessed, in the meantime they have not been called up for the midweek round, like Ahmad Benali (thigh), Koffi Djidji (thigh) and Luca Cigarini (knee).

Fiorentina: Giacomo Bonaventura (lower leg) and Christian Kouame (thigh) will skip some more matches.

Genoa: Davide Biraschi (thigh) and Alberto Paleari (thigh) are progressing in their rehab but might stay out in the midweek round, while Francesco Cassata worked his way back. Luca Pellegrini will probably be sidelined for considerable time with a thigh injury, but its extent is not known yet. Niccolò Rovella is out with an ankle sprain. 

Inter: Stefano Sensi is likely to be available after missing two games with muscle fatigue.

Juventus: Alvaro Morata and Niccolò Fagioli are fine despite recent ilnesses. All the other injured players remain out of commission.

Lazio: Manuel Lazzari is being evaluated for a potential calf injury, Lucas Leiva for a thigh one.

Milan: Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss two-to-three weeks with an adductor strain in the left thigh. Hakan Calhanoglu is dealing with an edema in his left flexor and, while he will be out this week, he has a more uncertain timetable. Ante Rebic is good to go despite a little scare. Mario Mandzukic and Ismael Bennacer (thigh) will not be back this week.

Napoli: Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off in the last game. Kostas Manolas is not far off from returning from his ankle injury. Andrea Petagna (thigh) and Victor Osimhen (head) are unlikely to be available against Sassuolo. Hirving Lozano will sit out few more.

Parma: Graziano Pellè should return from his muscular issue, while Andrea Cornelius, like Gervinho, suffered a thigh strain. Roberto Inglese is back after personal problems, while Andrea Conti is out. Joshua Zirkzee remains on the mend with a back problem. 

Roma: Chris Smalling and Bryan Reynolds have resumed working with the rest of his teammates and will be available, albeit not ready for full minutes. Roger Ibanez and Edin Dzeko will instead stay shelved with thigh issues. Juan Jesus has been ruled out late due to contact tracing.

Sampdoria: Ernesto Torregrossa is nursing a calf problem. Karlo Letica likely contracted Coronavirus, as he is not part of the squad list after they announced an unnamed case.

Sassuolo: Jeremie Boga, Mehdi Bourabia and Vlad Chiriches are in out due to muscular ailments.

Spezia: Tommaso Pobega is out due to a bruised thigh, while Riccardo Saponara will be sidelined for some time due to a foot sprain. Federico Mattiello and Rafael are also unavailable.

Torino: Karol Linetty, Andrea Belotti, Alessandro Buongiorno, Nicola Murru, Bremer, Wilfred Singo, Daniele Baselli and Nicolas N’Koulou have COVID.

Udinese: Gerard Deulofeu (knee), Fernando Forestieri (thigh) and Thomas Ouwejan (foot) have all made the squad list following some time off. 

Verona: Kevin Ruegg (ankle), Nikola Kalinic (thigh), Marco Benassi (calf) and Ebrima Colley (MCL sprain) will remain shelved for the midweek round.
