Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 34

Atalanta: a clean bill of healthy for Gian Piero Gasperini.

Benevento: Marco Sau picked up a thigh injury in the past game and will likely miss some time. Gianluca Caprari, Daam Foulon, and Andres Tello skipped the last match due to undisclosed ailments, Gaetano Letizia with muscle fatigue: Caprari and Tello are available, the others are not. Alessandro Tuia is nursing a calf problem, Gabriele Moncini ankle soreness.

Returning: Caprari, Tello; Missing: Sau, Tuia, Moncini, Letizia, Foulon. 

Bologna: Jerdy Schouten was red-carded last week. Takehiro Tomiyasu has skipped few games with a calf pull, but he is on track to return in this round. Nicola Sansone is banged up. Mitchell Dijks is recovering from a thigh strain, Gary Medel from a calf one. Nicolas Dominguez (knee sprain) and Aaron Hickey (shoulder surgery) are done for the season.

Returning: Tomiyasu; Missing: Medel, Sansone, Dominguez, Hickey, Sansone, Schouten, Santander. 

Cagliari: Razvan Marin is suspended. Alessio Cragno has shaken off COVID, but he has dealt with it for a significant amount of time. Gaston Pereiro is currently in the protocol. Riccardo Sottil and Matteo Tramoni are recuperating from thigh problems.

Returning: Cragno; Missing: Sottil, Tramoni, Pereiro. 

Crotone: Luca Marrone is set to be back after a calf pull, while Samuel Di Carmine will stay out with an unspecified muscular issue.

Returning: Marrone; Missing: Di Carmine. 

Fiorentina: Borja Valero and Aleksandr Kokorin are iffy with muscular injuries.

Missing: Valero, Kokorin. 

Genoa: Goran Pandev is suspended, Luca Pellegrini is out with a thigh strain. Domenico Criscito picked up a muscular issue in practice and will likely miss at least one match.

Missing: Pandev, Criscito, Pellegrini. 

Inter: Arturo Vidal will remain out with knee soreness, Aleksandar Kolarov with muscle fatigue.

Juventus: Federico Chiesa did not pass a late fitness test and will remain sidelined, like Merih Demiral. Alvaro Morata is questionable with a calf problem, Aaron Ramsey and Arthur are not 100 percent, but they all made the squad list.

Missing: Chiesa, Demiral. 

Lazio: Francesco Acerbi is suspended. Felipe Caicedo (plantar fasciitis), Gonzalo Escalante (calf) and Luiz Felipe (ankle surgery) will not return in this round.

Milan: Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been practicing all week fully after being sidelined by calf muscle fatigue. Simon Kjaer and Davide Calabria are slightly in doubt because of the flu. Mario Mandzukic is a late scratch.

Returning: Ibrahimovic; Missing: Mandzukic. 

Napoli: David Ospina will likely remain on the mend with a thigh pull. Stanislav Lobotka is questionable.

Parma: Dennis Man suffered a high-degree thigh lesion and will have a hard time coming back this season. Juraj Kucka will return from a thigh strain, Riccardo Gagliolo from a calf one. Yann Karamoh will miss two weeks due to ankle pain. Valentin Mihaila is out with thigh tendinopathy, Andrea Conti with muscle fatigue. Bruno Alves is back after missing time for personal reasons.

Returning: Kucka, Gagliolo, Alves; Missing: Man, Mihaila, Conti, Karamoh, Zirkzee, Nicolussi Caviglia, Cyprien. Iacoponi.  

Roma: Pau Lopez (shoulder sprain), Jordan Veretout, and Leonardo Spinazzola (thigh strains) are all likely done for the season. Pedro is nursing a thigh strain, Riccardo Calafiori an unspecified thigh problem, while Stephan El Shaarawy is not in tip-top shape. Amadou Diawara is out this week with groin muscle fatigue, Carles Perez because of a thigh problem. Lorenzo Pellegrini might miss the game for the birth of his second child.

Sampdoria: Fabio Quagliarella (thigh muscle fatigue) and Gaston Ramirez (knee contusion) will likely be good to go after sitting out one, and Ernesto Torregrossa is also ramping up his activity in practice after some time off due to a calf strain. Antonio Candreva has a sore foot.

Sassuolo: Giacomo Raspadori is back, while Francesco Caputo (back pain) remains shelved. Gregoire Defrel is dinged up.

Returning: Raspadori; Missing: Caputo, Romagna.  

Spezia: Juan Ramos (COVID) is working on his conditioning, while Federico Mattiello picked up a new thigh problem. Diego Farias was surprisingly excluded from the squad list.

Torino: Rolando Mandragora and Simone Verdi are suspended.

Udinese: Juan Musso is out with yellow-card accumulation. Jayden Braaf sprained his knee in practice and is being evaluated. Ilija Nestorovski, Gerard Deulofeu, Ignacio Pussetto, and Mato Jajalo are also out with major injuries in the same area. Fernando Llorente will sit due to back pain.

Verona: Federico Ceccherini is disqualified. Matteo Lovato might return from a thigh issue, Ronaldo Vieira is also improving after a significant thigh strain, but he will not be back this week.

Returning: Lovato; Missing: Ceccherini, Vieira, Benassi.
