Serie A Best Fantasy XI – Round 35

Bartlomiej Dragowski (7 points): another strong week for offenses as the clean sheets were really numbered. The Fiorentina goalkeeper was maybe spared by some lack of fierceness by the Lazio attackers on a pair of occasions, but he pulled off some terrific saves too, shining in particular on a point-blank attempt by Joaquin Correa.

Rick Karsdorp (7 points): Roma ended up doing quick work on Crotone as they pulled away in the second half and the energetic fullback, on top of controlling his direct opponent pretty well, furnished a great assist for Henrikh Mkhitaryan as he found the teammate with a perfect square ball after motoring down the right flank.

Cristiano Biraghi (7 points): he picked up a helper as well with pretty much the same action as Karsdorp, although he cut deeper inside the pitch, placing the ball in a perfect spot as Dusan Vlahovic simply had to tuck it in. However, he did it versus a defense that was not in disarray.

The Hernandez (5 points): Milan had an incredible defensive performance against Juventus, completely shutting down the enemies both in the middle and on the flanks. Fikayo Tomori put the nail in the coffin to complete glorious display, but he is not listed. The French fullback had a tremendous showing as well, ripping off multiple bursting runs and holding in check Juan Cuadrado, a key cog in the Bianconeri’s design.

Lorenzo Pellegrini (10 points): he fully took advantage of Crotone’s defensive woes to assemble a good-looking brace, finding the target twice with accurate strikes from midrange. He improved to seven goals in the campaign.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (10 points): even if Pellegrini and Borja Mayoral hit the net twice, he was actually the engine behind the Giallorossi’s romp of Crotone as he dished two assists with slick passes that perfectly set up the teammates and got eventually rewarded with a goal of his own with a tap-in from an angled position.

Roberto Gagliardini (6 points): he and Alexis Sanchez led the charge for Inter in the Sampdoria rout as he broke the deadlock few minutes in the game with a successful slide on a low-driven cross and connected with the Chilean attacker with a sweet through ball on the second goal.

Piotr Zielinski (6 points): the Polish midfielder resurfaced big time after a brief lull with a fantastic showing against Spezia as he capped off a gorgeous collective action with a routine finish from inside the box and sprung Victor Osimhen loose with a pinpoint through ball shortly thereafter.

Luis Muriel (10 points): Atalanta were already leading but actually had not done a whole lot of damage before he subbed in versus Parma. He proceeded to destroy the lowly adversaries with two of his usual sharp shots from inside the box and also teed up Matteo Pessina with a quality feed.

Victor Osimhen (9 points): he continued his transcendent play versus Spezia as he slipped past the offside trap multiple times, and he is just a killer when he arrives in front of the goalkeeper given his brute force, but also craftiness. He burned Ivan Provedel twice and was also generous, as he slid it to Hirving Lozano late in the match rather than go for the hat-trick.

Alexis Sanchez (8 points): he started over Romelu Lukaku in the Sampdoria game and did not mess about as he put together a twofer, keeping his aplomb and beating the goalie with a technical touch on the first goal, and finding the target with a lovely little volley right in the bottom corner on the second one. He is surely one to look out for in the final stretch.
