Luigi Sepe (7 points): just four clean sheets in this round and two of the goalie combined that with a key save on a penalty, Parma’s one and Brescia’s Jesse Joronen. However, the Finnish international was also booked, so the unheralded #1 of the Ducali gets the nod by default. Antonio Mirante had a terrific outing in relief, denying two clear-cut attempts by Lautaro Martinez and Matias Vecino with superb dives and one-handed saves.

Cristian Ansaldi (6 points): Torino conceded late, but Ansaldi still paced all defenders with his contribution on the other end, as he set up Simone Zaza’s goal with a great cross after a delightful action down the left wing and scored in the second half by picking his way to the box centrally and slotting it home from just outside of it. Milan acquire Rafael Leao from Lille to replace Cutrone

One in and one out in the Milan front-line, as Patrick Cutrone was sold to Wolverhampton, while the Rossoneri landed one of the most coveted youngster around in Rafael Leao from Lille. They cashed in €18M plus bonuses for the sale of the Italian striker, while they spent €30M for Portuguese one, who penned a five-year contract.

The 20-year-old forward, after growing up in Sporting CP’s youth academy but without seeing much first-team’s football, moved to Ligue 1 for free a season ago and tallied 8 goals and two assists in 24 games in 2018/2019. He has five caps with U-21 Portugal. Continue reading

Coppa Italia/Sampdoria-Viterbese Castrense

Most of the top fantasy players underperformed in week 1, let’s hope for a better performance in this round.

Alban Lafont: the youngster has already drawn rave reviews in Florence after his summer move from Toulouse.  The Viola will host Chievo, which played well against Juventus, but might have some troubles replicating that on the road.

Alex Sandro: Juventus’ back-line will look for improvements after a subpar showing in Verona against Lazio’s always powerful attack, which however sputtered against Napoli. The Brazilian full-back still excelled versus Chievo and provided the decisive assist. Continue reading
