The Premier League will witness a decisive weekend starting with Saturday’s clash between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. The London side’s players head to Liverpool brimming with confidence following the solid display versus Germany, in particular with Harry Kane scoring and Dele Alli showing he can deliver for England with solid performances.
For Tottenham this is a must win game if they are to continue to pressure Premier League leaders Leicester City; however, the Londoners will face a stiff challenge from a Liverpool side gradually improving under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp. It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool can stop what many consider as the most exciting team in EPL.
Elsewhere, Manchester City travel to face AFC Bournemouth in another must win game for the Citizens in order to maintain the all important 4th spot (allows entry to Champions League qualifiers) and fend off the likes of West Ham United, Manchester United and even Southampton. All the aforementioned clubs are separated by just 4 points with City on 51 and the Saints in 7th position with 47 points.
It is perhaps Arsenal’s last chance to remain in the title race when the Gunners host inconsistent side Watford. It is also a must win for Arsenal because any other result will seriously dent Arsene Wenger’s chances of winning the Premier League as a manager for the first time since 2004. While a draw maintains Arsenal’s mathematical chances of winning EPL, however, it will also signal the team’s inability to mount a serious challenge against Leicester and Tottenham.
Hence, this is a big weekend for EPL and a must win Saturday for Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal. You can follow the results of the games live on our site by clicking here.
