Top 5 Fantasy Football picks for La Liga this weekend – Goalkeepers

Another exciting round of fixtures in the La Liga this weekend awaits and here, we take a look at goalkeepers who are in form and keeping the ball out of the net. We take a look at Villareal v Betis, Atletico v Real Sociedad, Real Madrid v Leganes, Malaga v Sporting Gijon and Espanyol v Athletic Club.

As Villareal take on Real Betis, Sergio Asenjo will line up once again in goals for Villareal. He has kept four clean sheets in his last eight matches and as it stands is the second best performing goalkeeper in La Liga this season with a total of 26 points. Facing a side who have scored just two goals in their last four matches he should be able to keep a clean sheet here and gain maximum points.

With such a strong confident defence in front of him, Jan Oblak has no worries when it comes to keeping clean sheets. The Slovenian national goalkeeper is consistent and tops the list of La Liga goalkeepers this season with 32 points, 6 ahead of his nearest challenger. Real Sociedad have failed to score in their last five matches against Atletico and come Saturday evening, that may well be six.

Real Madrid, who sit top of the table after ten games are a sure thing to keep a clean sheet this weekend. They have, on average, conceded one goal per game, but they face a side here who have failed to score in three of their last four matches. Francisco Casilla, has made the No.1 jersey his own and despite having conceded at least one in his last six matches, he must be eager to get that elusive clean sheet.

Espanyol keeper Diego Lopez has made eight starts and earned himself ten points so far this season. As he faces up to Athletic Club, he will be comfortable in the knowledge that his side have kept four clean sheets in their last five matches. Valued at 5.5 Million, he should be good value for a productive weekend and should improve on that ten point total.

Idriss Kameni, despite being in minus for the season, looks to be good value this weekend. He conceded four last weekend in an open match against Atletico Madrid, but looks set to have a much easier weekend this time around. As Malaga face Sporting Gijon, it is worth remebering that Sporting Gijon (second lowest scorers in the league) have failed to score at Malaga on their last three visits there.
