David de Gea on top of Fantasy Football Rankings in the Premier League

Manchester United’s David de Gea has been widely considered as the best in the English Premier League despite strong competition from Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris, Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois, and a few years earlier Arsenal’s Petr Cech.

David’s saves and plethora of stunning saves have defied not only the odds but also the laws of physics. How often have we seen De Gea perform miraculous saves or defy logic with his super reflexes? Well, it turns out it is not just something we see on our TV sets because David has topped the EPL fantasy rankings for all players, ahead of the currently sidelined Sergio Aguero. David has kept 5 clean sheets in just 6 Premier League appearances while conceding only 2 goals. Since the 2012-13 season, De Gea has kept at least 10 clean sheets each EPL season.

Moving to 2nd place, the aforementioned Aguero has 32 points based on the thorough analysis provided by www.eurofantasyleague.com fantasy rankings and that is largely down to his 6 goals in just 6 league appearances. The Manchester City striker also provided 3 assists so far. Unfortunately for Sergio, and the Citizens, he is reportedly going to miss several weeks of action following the car accident in the Netherlands. Aguero was not driving as he took a taxi ride in Amsterdam and the driver hit a pole.

Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata occupies 3rd place in EPL’s top fantasy player rankings based on his solid performances for the London side. Morata has contributed 6 goals and 2 assists so far in the English Premier League. While some critics and fans foolishly questioned whether Morata can succeed in England, the striker went about his business working hard and scoring goals to prove his critics wrong.

Morata has won several trophies during his time with Italian giants Juventus while he added two UEFA Champions League trophies as a Real Madrid. Thus, Morata has both experience and the pedigree despite being 24 years-old (he turns 25 in October). Morata scored some decisive goals while playing for Juve and assumed the role of a super-sub. Last season with Real, Morata scored 15 goals and provided 4 assists despite starting only 14 league games- he made another 12 La Liga appearances as a substitute.

It is too early in the season to judge the EPL Fantasy Player rankings but David de Gea has continued to show his worth for United. With Aguero set to miss the next few matches, the likes of Morata, Harry Kane, Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah will make a push to rise to the top of the fantasy rankings.
