Real Madrid continue their winning start with a 4-1 demolition of Girona

Real Madrid continued their fine start to life under their new manager Julen Lopetegui with a 4-1 win at Girona on Sunday.

Los Blancos had lost the corresponding fixture 2-1 last season, and many saw them struggling against the Catalonian club once again. The hosts even took an early lead through Borja Garcia in the 16th-minute of the game. However, Real managed to equalize through a Sergio Ramos-penalty in the first half. The turnaround was easily completed in the second half as the visitors put three past their opponents.

French striker Karim Benzema scored a brace, including a penalty, and Gareth Bale was also on the target for the second consecutive game.
