Emiliano Viviano (7 points): he contributed to SPAL’s impressive victory with a solid save on a Ciro Immobile’s shot and a rather lucky rejection with the help of the post on Lucas Leiva point-blank attempt.
Merih Demiral (13 points): he almost ruined a perfect night with a silly penalty foul late, but Emanuele Giaccherini missed and so his fantasy haul remains the best of the season for a defenders thanks to two outstanding headers.
Leonardo Bonucci (9 points): a commanding performance by the Juventus defense in Cagliari and the veteran centre-back embellished it with a great header on a corner kick.
Pol Lirola (7 points): a dominating performance for the energetic fullback, who was no match for the opponents on the right flank and set up two goals for Sassuolo
Josip Ilicic (10 points): he single-handedly knocked out Bologna in the span of ten minutes, punishing them with two venomous lefty strikes and then teeing up Hans Hateboer three-nothing goal.
Roberto Gagliardini (10 points): his resurgence continues with a brace, with one goal coming on a perfect trail and the other on a header on a corner kick. He must have something against Genoa because he scored twice in the first game too.
Ivan Perisic (8 points): he and Mauro Icardi have not often been on the same page and off the pitch this year, but they combined for a pretty good goal against Genoa and the winger also set up Gagliardini.
Manuel Locatelli (8 points): a goal plus assist plus clean sheet for the Sassuolo young midfielder too, who set up one of Merih Demiral’s headers and poked one home of his own.
Andrea Belotti (8 points): Torino need a lot from him now that Iago Falque will miss some time and he stepped up to the plate right away with a brace in the crunch match with Sampdoria, bagging a superb header and being very alert on a short clearance for a relatively easy finish.
Andrea Pinamonti (6 points): he opened the goal fest in Frosinone with an opportunistic deflection on a delivery from the left flank.
Mauro Icardi (6 points): after few drama-filled weeks of drama, where he was stripped of the captain armband and clashed with the teammates, the management and especially the coach, he returned to the pitch and played just as nothing had happened, winning and drilling a penalty and springing Perisic loose with a through ball.
