Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 4 Picks

Leicester City, Liverpool and Everton are the last remaining teams with a 100% winning record as we head into the fourth round of Premier League fixtures, whilst Fulham, Sheffield United and Burnley all remain pointless.

In some of the most-anticipated games of the weekend, Leeds United host Manchester City on Saturday and Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford as his Tottenham Hotspur face Manchester United.

Here are our recommended picks for your fantasy team this weekend:

Goalkeeper: Alisson (Liverpool)
Clean sheets have been at a premium to start the 2020-21 Premier League season and Liverpool have kept just one in their first three. However, a trip to Aston Villa on Sunday should be a good opportunity for Alisson to double that tally.

Defender: Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)
As well as expecting to keep a clean sheet this weekend, Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson will get forward and look to be among the goals against Aston Villa. The left-back has one goal and one assist in his three Premier League appearances so far this season.

Defender: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)
Arsenal are without a clean sheet since travelling to Fulham on the opening day but have a perfect opportunity to keep another when they host Sheffield United this weekend. The Blades are without a single goal in their first three games this season, whilst Mikel Arteta has more players closer to full match fitness to ensure his team pick up three points.

Defender: Kevin Long (Burnley)
Newcastle United versus Burnley won’t be one of the most-anticipated Saturday night games of the season and has the potential to be a tight affair. Neither team have scored too frequently to start the new campaign and Sean Dyche will be looking for his defence to help come away with something from St James’ Park. Kevin Long is a budget option.

Midfielder: Sadio Mane (Liverpool)
Liverpool scored three goals against Arsenal on Monday night and have scored nine in their first three games of the season. Jurgen Klopp’s side will be expected to keep the goals coming at Villa Park this weekend. There are several Reds players to choose from heading into the match and Sadio Mane may be good value for money given his record versus the Villans.

Midfielder: Dennis Praet (Leicester City)
High-flying Leicester City will be looking to build on their 5-2 win at Manchester City when the play host to West Ham United in the opening game on Sunday. Although the Hammers thrashed Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend I am not convinced in their defending and Dennis Praet is one of Brendan Rodgers’ players I can see profiting.

Midfielder: Dani Ceballos (Arsenal)
Dani Ceballos came off the bench to play Alexandre Lacazette in one-on-one versus Liverpool on Monday night as the Spaniard appears to be back to full match fitness. The Gunners could do with his playmaking skills against a Sheffield United team who like to play compact. He certainly has the ability to unlock defences.

Midfielder: Daniel Podence (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Wolves have made a very disappointing start to their new campaign, hammered at the London Stadium last weekend. Nuno’s side have the perfect opportunity to bounce back on Sunday when they welcome bottom of the league Fulham to Molineaux. Daniel Podence is a playmaker along the front three who I am confident getting among the goals versus the Cottagers.

Striker: Danny Ings (Southampton)
Southampton have only scored two goals so far this season but welcome the Premier League’s worst defence to St Mary’s on Sunday. Danny Ings is the main man up front for the Saints and I’d be surprised if he didn’t register a goal or two versus West Bromwich Albion.

Striker: Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
Jamie Vardy netted a sensational hat-trick in Leicester City’s statement 5-2 win at Manchester City on Sunday. The striker can be expected to add more goals to his five already this season as West Ham are the visitors to the King Power Stadium.

Striker: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton)
Everton don’t have the easiest of matchups this weekend as the joint-Premier League leaders welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Goodison Park. However, you’d still expect Carlo Ancelotti’s side to break down the visitors. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been on fire to start the new season and as the target man up front there’s a good chance he’ll score this weekend too.
