With six clean sheets from nine matches, Alisson’s points total of 42 has only been bettered this season by Manchester City’s Ederson. The Liverpool goalkeeper, valued at 10.00m, is likely to add to his tally against Cardiff on Saturday.

Jordan Pickford has recovered from a slow start to the season to pick up 14 points in two of his last three games. He earned another seven in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace – a match in which he also saved a penalty.

GK – Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester)
Admittedly, this is a risky selection. Kasper Schmeichel is on -4 points after five games and he conceded four goals last week. However, Leicester play Huddersfield – the Premier League’s lowest scorers – next before matches against Newcastle and Everton. At 7.00m, he’s worth considering.
As as the case for most of us this summer, Joe Gomez was likely sat on a couch watching England. At the time, the Liverpool defender will have felt a pang of disappointment that the tournament in Russia came too soon for him. A month and a half later he will be delighted he missed out. His absence has propelled his career forward.
For Liverpool, he has benefitted because of Dejan Lovren’s absence. The Croatia defender’s semifinal appearance had already set him up to miss the start of the Premier League season, A stomach problem from the end of last season worsened during the World Cup, ensured his absence.

Some bad news coming out of the Liverpool and England camps today as defender Joe Gomez has been ruled out of the Reds’ Champions League final clash with Real Madrid, as well as the World Cup in Russia this summer. Gomez underwent surgery after picking up an ankle injury while on Three Lions duty against the Netherlands back in March, and while he did return to action for Liverpool since suffering the injury he took to Twitter to confirm that his season for both club and country is now over after having the procedure. It is a real blow for the 23-year-old former Charlton Athletic star, who would have been hoping to add to his three England caps when Gareth Southgate takes his squad on the plane ahead of their first match against Tunisia on 18th June.
