Much like the standings in Serie A, not much has changed in terms of top midfielders in Serie A since the last weekend.
First, we will take a look at some important fixtures of this gameweek – Atlanta will start the game week with a home tie against 14th-placed Bologna. AS Roma will travel to bottom-of-table Pescara while Napoli have an away game at 15th-placed Sassuolo.
Just like last week, no midfielder from Juventus features on our list. Here are top five midfielders in Serie A for game week 33.
1. Dries Mertens – Napoli
Dries Mertens of Napoli keeps the top spot on our list. He is comfortably ahead of the rest of the pack at 110 points. He comes at a reasonable price of 8m in the transfer market. In 29 appearances, which includes seven substitute appearances, he has scored 21 goals and provided five assists. He scored in the 3-0 win over Udinese last weekend, and we are backing him to have an influential performance against Sassuolo.

2. Alejandro Gomez – Atlanta
Atlanta have been a surprise package this season a lot of credit goes to Gomez. The Argentinean has 14 goals, and seven assists in 31 starts this season. He is cheap at 5m and has collected 95 points. Atlanta are in contention for European places this season, and following the 1-1 draw at Roma last weekend they will be pumped for the visit of Bologna.

3. Marek Hamsik – Napoli
The experienced Napoli star occupies the third spot on our list. Hamsik is quite expensive at 9m and has a total of 83 points to show for his efforts. He has been ever-present for the Naples side this season. He has made 31 starts and a solitary substitute appearance for Napoli this season. He has scored 11 goals and provided nine assists.

4. Mohamed Salah – AS Roma
The Egyptian winger has made just 25 appearances this season, but that hasn’t stopped him from making it to our list. He has a total of 78 points and comes at 9.5m in the market. At this price, he is the most expensive player on our list. He has scored 11 goals and provided nine assists this season.

5. Radja Nainggolan – AS Roma
The Belgian midfielder retains his fifth spot from last week. He is available at just 6m in the market and has collected 66 points. In 31 appearances, he has scored nine goals and provided three assists.
