Following their unprecedented success in 1998, Croatia have produced a lot of world-class players. However, they haven’t been able to match the achievements of their previous generation in World Cup. In fact, Croatia have failed to progress beyond the group stage in three attempts since the turn of the century. In Brazil 2014, Croatia lost to Brazil and Mexico in the group stage and crashed out of the tournament.
