The current Croatian side is full of world-class talents like Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Mateo Kovacic and Mario Mandzukic. Once again, Croatia are expected to progress beyond the group stage, but it will be an even more difficult task for them this time around.
Croatia find themselves in a very tricky group along with Argentina, Iceland and Nigeria. Argentina are obvious favourites to top the group, and on paper, Croatia are a stronger side than the remaining two. However, before making a bet on Croatia in the World Cup, one must also take a look at their route to qualification. Croatia and Iceland were also grouped together in the qualifying group, and the Nordic island got the better off their opponents in the end. Iceland registered a 1-0 home win over Croatia in the qualifying group, and they will be tricky opponents for the Blazers in Russia too.
