Top three AC Milan picks for Fantasy Serie A

As the start of Serie A is only one week away (roughly), it is time to take a look at a few choices that you should make for your fantasy team. This article will focus on three AC Milan players that you must have in your team, as they are guaranteed point-machines (one can hope).

First of all, there are several players in the current Rossoneri squad that I believe could be useful in a fantasy team. However, as we all know, the rules only allow you to pick three players from each club. Therefore, without further ado, down below are my top three picks.

Theo Hernandez – Left-back

Starting from the back, the new boy is a great choice for your team. At a price of only €6.9m, he is one one of the more affordable defenders in the game. Based on pre-season, however, he should be worth a lot more. Once he returns from his injury (will likely be back for the second round), he will have a guaranteed starting spot in Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 formation.

Many are predicting him to thrive under the new manager, as the latter’s tactics allow the full-backs to push high up the field. Hernandez possesses great speed and strength, which will be of great use when going forward. Prior to getting injury against Bayern Munich, he was outstanding on the left flank, and was even awarded the MOTM despite playing just 45 minutes.

Suso – Attacking midfielder

Finally, it seems like the Spaniard will remain at the club. And for Milan, this is fantastic, as Suso has been stellar during pre-season. He has managed to adapt to his new role behind the strikers, and the manager has already publicly expressed his love for the player. However, unlike Hernandez, he is not cheap.

The 25-year-old will cost you €13m, which makes him the second most expensive AC Milan player behind Piatek, but more on the Pole later. Just like last season, we can expect Suso to provide a good amount of assists. Furthermore, in his new role, we can assume that he will find himself in shooting positions even more.

Krzysztof Piatek – Striker

After joining the Rossoneri mid-way through the season, he surprised everyone, scoring goal after goal. Next season should be no exception, as the Pole has shown good intentions during pre-season. Once the seasons starts, he will be eager to get back on the scoresheet, which should result in a good amount of points for your team (though he costs €16.9m).

Reports suggest that Milan are close to signing Angel Correa, who would play alongside Piatek. Together, they would be a lethal force up front for the San Siro side. In other words, the goalscoring shouldn’t be an issue for Giampaolo’s men, even though it somewhat has been during pre-season.
