Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 26

Atalanta: Rafael Toloi will miss the next game due to a hamstring strain, while Berat Djimsiti with a bruised quad.

Bologna: Ibrahima Mbaye is suspended. The infirmary is emptying out since Nicola Sansone, Gary Medel and Federico Santander are poised to be available following thigh strains, Roberto Soriano after a bruise, leaving only Mitchell Dijks (foot), Ladislav Krejci (knee) and Mattias Svanberg (thigh) on the shelf.

Brescia: Ales Mateju is disqualified, but they are set to get back all three of Andrea Cistana, Ernesto Torregrossa and Romulo, who missed the last two matches with undisclosed issues.

Cagliari: Nahitan Nandez is banned. Paolo Faragò is nursing a thigh tendinopathy, while Luca Ceppitelli had to be managed in practice due to plantar fasciitis, even though he would have been available if they played last week.

Fiorentina: Dalbert is suspended.

Genoa: Cristian Romero is slated to return after missing a pair with a knee sprain, Andrea Pinamonti instead skipped one with the flu. Marko Pajac is iffy with a sore tibia, Paolo Ghiglione and Lukas Lerager remain sidelined with hamstring strains. Stefano Sturaro picked up a thigh ailment late in the week. 

Inter: Samir Handanovic was cleared to practice with the ball yesterday, so, barring a setback, he will able to play Sunday after a recent pinkie infraction. Sebastiano Esposito (thigh) and Roberto Gagliardini (foot) have decent chances to make the bench, while Stefano Sensi will likely be held out again by a foot issue.

Juventus: Douglas Costa (thigh) and Sami Khedira (knee) were on the travelling squad for the Champions League and will thus be at the coach’s disposal Sunday. Adrien Rabiot has a sore heel. 

Lazio: Francesco Acerbi will skip at least one due to a calf contracture. Jony and Felipe Caicedo are both dealing with ankle contusions but they should soldier through them, while Adam Marusic is questionable with muscle fatigue.

Lecce: Riccardo Saponara is expected back from a muscular problem, while Khouma Babacar, Diego Farias and Filippo Falco remains on the mend. Alessandro Deiola is fatigued but he is available. 

Milan: Gianluigi Donnarumma sustained an ankle injury that is not believed to be severe but could cost him one game. Lucas Biglia might be available sooner than expected following a knee sprain. Simon Kjaer stays on the disabled list.

Napoli: Kalidou Koulibaly keeps dealing with a sore hamstring. Dries Mertens got stomped on the ankle versus Barcelona and he is likely out this week. Fernando Llorente should be fine after being under the weather prior to the last game.

Parma: Matteo Darmian trained on the side to open the week due to an Achilles issue, but he should be good to go Sunday. Juraj Kucka (thigh) went into full training on Friday.  Matteo Scozzarella (thigh) and Antonino Barillà (thigh) have only minor chances to do the same this week. Hernani suffered a late quad injury that will most likely sideline him. 

Roma: Lorenzo Pellegrini picked up a thigh injury, on which there are mixed reports, that will sideline him for at least one game. Gianluca Mancini is suspended. Amadou Diawara should be back any day now from his meniscus tear. Jordan Veretout hurt his ankle in Europa League, but he is fine. Diego Perotti is out with the flu. 

Sampdoria: Nicola Murru and Gaston Ramirez are suspended. Karol Linetty hurt his hip in practice and he is questionable like Morten Thorsby. Omar Colley is banged up. 

Sassuolo: Pedro Obiang could be back from an ankle problem, Vlad Chiriches after two months nursing a hamstring strain, instead Hamed Traore (ankle) is likely be out again.

SPAL: Gabriel Strefezza is suspended. Marco D’Alessandro could be called up for the first time after his ACL tear, while Alberto Cerri (thigh) is again iffy.

Torino: Alex Berenguer is dealing with severe back pain and has limited time to shake it off.

Udinese: Ken Sema tweaked his knee/ankle in the last game but the issue turned out to be minor. Bram Nuytinck is in doubt because of a sore knee, Sebastian De Maio due to a thigh ailment.

Verona: Miguel Veloso is suspended. Samuel Di Carmine is ready after missing time with muscle fatigue, while Marco Davide Faraoni aggravated his previous ankle injury and will miss at least one game. Giampaolo Pazzini and Fabio Borini have an outside chance to be available following their strains.
